I am 13 days out from my face lift. I realize it will take time for all the swelling to go down but does this look like typical swelling. My face is much wider than it was originally. I do like it better, but I sure hope it thins out.
It's been exactly 2 weeks since my lower facelift; I've been healing quite well except for under my chin where there is a one inch scar that is pink and raised. I'm wondering if it's a Keloid and if it will flatten out and get paler eventually??
I had a facelift that involved liposuction of chin/jowls approx 2 1/2 weeks ago. The compression garment began to push wrinkles in my neck so my PS advised me to only wear it for a few hours in the evening, and/or to try and cut it so that the neck laid flat without any marks. Once I cut the neck, it became basically a chin sling only and it's very uncomfortable. Will my outcome be affected if I stop wearing it at this point? I don't notice any swelling difference when it's not been worn
The right side of upper lip And parts of my right cheek are paralysed. My PS said it's buccal nerve damage. He said it's never happened to him before. That its due to swelling and damage lifting the cheek area. He seems to be brushing it off like it's an unfortunate outcome. All surgeries have risks! My smile is now a stupid smirk. Will this Return to normal or is it likely to be permanent? Do all PS have the client smile after facelift to see if smile is normal? Or was he already suspicious?
I use low dose nicotine and haven't touched a cigarette since I quit smoking 4 years ago. I stopped vaping 2 weeks before my mini facelift/neck lift. I miss vaping and would like to resume. I can do the lowest dose or try no nicotine but I don't want to compromise my healing. Is 2 weeks post op long enough to wait before resuming my vaping?
I had one two weeks ago and my surgeon just suggested doing this. But Im squeamish. To the point of still not yet wanting to look in the mirror. I dont like the way my facial muscles feel at the moment (a woody feel that although my husband says I look normal, I feel like Im an Archimboldo punting come to life). Thanks!
I'm in a rather unique situation...I had a facelift just over 2 weeks ago and my surgeon doesn't really give many instructions + I'm also only going to be seeing her every month or so for the remainder of my follow-ups as I will soon be living in a different location. My surgeon doesn't think they are needed, but I'm also really not happy with my surgeon's office (they are very rushed/not caring) so I'm hoping some of the surgeons on here could offer some advice. Thanks so much!
