I am 3 weeks post facelift surgery. I am confused about how to best treat the scabs that remain on the tragus. I have short hair so they are apparent and the sooner they heal the more comfortable I will be. It would appear that medical opinions vary on realself. One school of thought suggests vaseline whilst the other opinion is after bathing, pat dry and leave. Just want to do the right thing. I am currently self conscious when I am out. Thank you in anticipation.
I still have scabs on my head and it has been almost 6 weeks since my facelift. I wanted to know when it is safe to color my hair. I asked the PA who seen me 2 weeks ago and she said do it when scabs are a little better. Would it be safe to do it in 2 weeks then it would be 2 months.
I am due to have the remaining 1/3 of my staples from behind my ears removed in 5 days. I will be 1 mon. post op Facelit. I've had great results and am ahead of schedule in my healing. The Dr. said I have a thickened scab on the incision line under a staple. He just suggested I shampoo the area a bit more vigorously. Could this scab delay the removal of that staple or two? I am finding the staples to be increasingly irritating making back sleeping EVEN more difficult! Thank you
It about 5mths post op -healed fine -now has reopened and leaks minimal fluid -scabs over but wont heal or get smaller-no smell ,itch or pain. The first scab came off but its red underneath- slight bleeding. Could this be a hair or cancer even?
30 days post op today. Slow healing, not a smoker! Did everything right then some. Ps not worried, but is there anything I can do to speed up the healing of left ear front? first pic is about 4 days ago. Does not hurt, ooze or burn. Still taking bromelain and vit c and now supplements. Am tired of hiding out. Scabs behind ears still too, left back better than right, but right front better than left. (scab wise) Thank you.Dr. said put nothing on it. I am putting Aquaphor on skin not incision
They are down in size but have left a big ugly scar. I'm worried I can't ever wear my hear up and going to Europe in July. They are about the size between a quarter and a dime now, down from a half-dollar but still sore sometimes leaky. Fluid is clear with a little blood. What treatment would you ask me to do if I was your patient? Vaseline? Dry them out? Cover them? Take them off? Different topical cream? Why did this happen?
