Facelift + Discoloration Q&A

I had a Face Lift 45 days ago. Where the plastic surgeon pulled the platysma on my cheeks, I now have about 1' of discoloration. It looks like a light bruise, but deeper than the surface. There is no pain. What is happening? Will this correct over time? What can I do to accelerate healing process?

I have seen half a dozen doctors, including my PS many times and no one can tell me what this is. I have been on a number of antibiotic treatments, steroids, and ointments. I tested negative for staph. This Is painful, extremely itchy and causing skin discoloration that Im afraid is permanent. It is getting better, but far from gone. thank you in advance!!!

Kenelog injections have reduced the lump, but now PS used laser to treat the discoloration. I was told to do nothing to the area? Is that the best advice?

I had a face lift 10 months and have light red discorations just under cheekbones. I use 4% hydroquinone AM and PM. Is this normal and how long before dissipates?

I had a facelift 3 days ago. The doctor made my incision in front of the ears. So far everything is perfect except the skin in front of both ears is really hard when I touch it. The skin is also a little discolored (the color of a bruise that is just starting). The entire side of my cheek, (temple down to jowl) is equally hard when I push on it (no lumps). The front of my cheeks is soft, it is just the sides of my cheeks that are hard. Have very little swelling, but do have pain. Is this normal?
