I went to a clinic in ankara, turkey for hair transplant. Black woman. I was supposed to get 3,000 grafts extracted and they started the proces but stopped at 300 grafts and said that my hair was too curly/coily to exxtract. I confronted the dr about not being upfront about their inexperience with black people hair, he insisted they have had multiple african american patients and my hair was just different and more difficult and couldn't tell until during extraction process.
I had an FUE procedure done 7 months, and my question is related to the growth of hairs. I know grafts can contain 1, 2, 3, 4 hair follicles at a time (if not more for all I know). My question is, the grafts that contain multiple hair follicles, do the hair follicles in those particular grafts grow back at the same time, or different rates. For example a graft with 3 hair follicles, will all 3 follicles grow back at the same time (since they are a part of same graft) or grow at different rates?
Hello i had a fue hair transplant consult today & asked if it was possible to restore the edges / corners of my hair line as well as the hairline, the DR. told me it was not , but I've seen so many videos where they do , please if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it
Hello everyone, I'm now 6 months after my HT and unfortunately I haven't noticed any growth. I'm afraid that nothing will come of it... Now I also saw that I have a slight iron deficiency, would that have a major impact on growth? I mean, women suffer from it more often and also have hair transplants, so I would be surprised...(at 06.03.2024 month passing the 6 Month mark).
I had a (front and side view) skull X-ray taken 10 days after having my FUE procedure done. I was informed MRI scans were fine, and I mistakenly assumed X-rays would be Ok as well. I'd like to know if and how much potential damage I may have done to my FUE grafts? I really thank and appreciate anyone who responds!
I am 11 months post fue. I have full, healthy hair, never experienced hair loss. I had a transplant to reduce my forehead size. I have posted a photo of my day of post-op and a photo of my results now. I am fine with both of my sides. However, there are patches in the center of my hairline Im concerned with. Is it likely this hair will grow? Is PRP a good option, or is it likely not going to lead to results because the grafts/ follicles cannot be recovered and I should do a 2nd fue instead?
Hey guys, Im getting a hair transplant in September hopefully. I am wondering if my donor area has enough density and thickness? They are saying I will need about 3000-4000 grafts (7000-8000 hairs) I have attached some photos. Not sure if I am balding on my crown or if it is my cowlicks/whorl? Thank you heaps
I believe im within the norwood 5 to norwood 6 range. I have good donor area in the back as well as willing to use beard grafts too. I have a VERY thick and long growing beard that grows very fast so that is an option too. While i do like medium length to long length hair i also love shaved head look. But what stops me is the horse shoe pattern. I would like to get a hair transplant that can fill in enough that gives me a very nice looking full shaved head look without any horse shoe shadow
