I developed scalp dermatitis which the DR. reckons was due to insufficient frictional cleaning as i was being very gentle with the shampooing post HT. I was given Nizoral and Dermovate to treat this. After using the treatment for 7 days the scalp is clean of any flakes. However alot of transplanted hair from fell off trapped with the dead skin. Would they grow back im really worried because i had good results until the dermatitis. Any help would be extremely appreciated :)
Hi! I am a 31yo man with a healthy lifestyle, not using any medications (also due to conceiving), apart from zinc as a daily supplement. I had a fue hair transplant 8,5 months ago, 2000 grafts mainly to my temples and the front (see 1st photo of hair before transplant). My top was then already quite thin, but the surgeon advised not to do that right now. However, I want to do a 2nd transplant. How many grafts would I likely need? I included photos of now, 8,5 months after the 1st transplant.
I had a 1440 hairline restoration FUE procedure around 8 monthd ago, but I notcr some gaps in the hairline not filling in yet. I am aware it can take 1 year to see full results, but if therr is gaps at the 8 month mark with zero hair can I expect these to fill in within next 4 months? Thanks.
It seems like Im experiencing a second shed at around the 8 month mark. Is something like this normal? The transplanted hair is still very wiry. Im assuming it will get better in the next few months, but assumed the hair would be healthier and fuller by now.
Im 8 months post FUE, density is good but the high percentage of hairs that remain thin and light colored is a bit alarming. I know more maturation comes but i feel like many of these hairs have been thin and light for months. And some are very light and thin. I have read that transected grafts can survive and grow weaker than normal, but how likely is this to happen? Is it a rarity or could someone have many damaged grafts grow out permanently weak and thin?
I got an FUE Hair Transplant in the crown area on August 20th, 2021. It is now April 20th 2022, 8 months later, and the results do not look great. I have done two PRPs with a third scheduled on April 25th. I got a stem cell treatment during the operation and also invested in vitamins. I have done quite a bit of red light therapy in addition. Should I try finasteride or minoxidil? What is the normal density after 8 months? I will attempt to attach pictures below.
Hello: Researching online and seeing posts on Real Self, it appears that people 8 months post hair transplant should have 80% growth. I did FUE in September 2021. All 5 consulted HT surgeons all agreed on the same exact number of grafts (3500 grafts) need to produce natural looking thick density. However, at 8 month my hairline is still see through. Should my results at this point be 80% done with the remaining months producing 20% growth & change?
Hi there My skin is still bright red at recipient site 8 months after procedure. Healing is fine otherwise. No itching or pain. Hair is growing in. Surgeon has tried steroid creams and hydroquinone with no result. Also consulted with dermatologist who made similar recommendations and advised against lasers to correct pigment as they may damage follicles. I'm really at a loss. There's been no change in months. Any advice? Would hate to live with this for life.
