My question is about FUE specifically, but I suspect the answer will apply to all surgeries. Cigarettes are bad for hair transplants, but is it mostly the nicotine, OR the actual combustion and additives that are most harmfull? Are e-cigarettes (which do not contain chemicals like lead, or produce Carbon Monoxide) a safer alternative to cigarettes? Or is the main negative the nicotine itself, which is still in e-cigarettes? I know NEITHER are healthy, but are e-cigarettes a lesser of two evils?
Will this one time be detrimental? So,i quit 2 weeks prior to surgery and didnt smoke until today. The circumstances were exceptional so i dont need a lecture about the horrors of smoking etc i just need to know if smoking ten (and that will be it by the way as it made me sick) will have an adverse effect on my results? I wont be smoking again so will this one-off make much of a difference? Thank you.
