Hi there My skin is still bright red at recipient site 8 months after procedure. Healing is fine otherwise. No itching or pain. Hair is growing in. Surgeon has tried steroid creams and hydroquinone with no result. Also consulted with dermatologist who made similar recommendations and advised against lasers to correct pigment as they may damage follicles. I'm really at a loss. There's been no change in months. Any advice? Would hate to live with this for life.
my donor area not healing even after 10 days of FUE , cleaning with betadin and NS(shampooing will start after 16 days of FUE). yellow liquid coming out from few ports , after that liquid become hard and sticking to head mask. grafts are around 2500 most part of skin looks white and light red still wound is tender and painful, after cleaning applying fusidic cream on donor area. Doctor said yellow liquid is not infection. How to heal the donor area faster?
Hi, I am only a day after my FUE HT so this question might be a bit premature. But in case the redness remains after the normal 14 days. How to cure or advance the reducing of the redness? Are calendula creme or aloe vera gel good options?
I had a non shave fue transplant three days ago. Is it okay to use sheabutter cream on the native hair that is i front of the transplanted hair? It is fat, not any chemicals? Or can it cause harm, and if so, how could it cause harm?
It will be 3 months soon since my fue and my recipient area is still a little red. It's not bright but it's definitely visible. Especially since I shave my head pretty close. So my question here is ; Are there creams that could help make the redness disappear for good? (I had a bad reaction for a couple months on my donor area with about 20 little pimples but it's now gone...)
Dear Dr's Is it normal that there is still someone redness in the recipent area 10 weeks after FUE? The redness became less by time but when will the redness be gone in the recipent area? I have VERY light skin (Im from Denmark) and my doctor gave me an oral antibiotic cure (3000mg a day for a week) Now he says that there is NO infection (I have had a blood test) Do I need a second opinion? Or should I trust that it will fade away in time? Can you recommend a cream against redness?
I recently had a second FUE HT. The nurse was pretty aggressive with shaving and there's no way my existing hair can be combed or styled to cover my donor area - it looks very obvious I had a HT. I've been cleaning the donor area daily and putting on antibiotic cream. When can I start to use Toppik to cover the donor area without infecting myself or impeding hair regrowth that's still around in the donor area? I have to go back to work at the very latest 12 days post-op. Thank you!
