I had a hair transplant in 2021 . Since about 6 months ago, I've been experiencing strange sensations in my scalp, similar to the feeling when hair is pulled. The symptoms evolved over time, starting with a burning sensation, then itchiness, and finally the hair-pulling feeling described above. This sensation can change, but it is generally a 24/7 feeling, impacting the quality of my life. I am in desperate need of help I visited a dermatologist with no luck
Hello doctors! 23 days ago I had FUE (3500 grafts). My donor area is still very red. Also sometimes it is itching a lot. My doctor told me that this is completely normal and it will take some time to disappear. However, I think that it is unusual. Should I use some ointments which can help me to reduce this redness? Or maybe some other medications? Thanks for your help!
16/5/19 I done hair transplant using fue method. The same day my neck become reddish next day look like bruising with burning feel. Then it appeared front neck then back of left ear. Feel like it's spreading. When will it heal? Is it normal pls advise
Post FUE surgery, my scalp itches and gets very oily, not sure if this is normal or not. Its been 3 months since surgery now. I wash my hair every other day with pura d'or shampoo and sometimes I wash it with a bar soap to get the oil out. I did my surgery overseas. I've never had an oily scalp before. I did what I was told by my doctor, used baby shampoo for the first month in a cup, never got aggressive with my scalp.
I have since about the 2nd day after my FUE transplant (2900 grafts) extremely itchy donor area. I'm now on day 7 and I'm going crazy. It's especially itchy during the evening (starting at 8 pm till/before sleeping. What I do: I wash my hair 2 times a day very gently like my doctor told me to with a special shampoo they gave me. I took some Ibuprofen and I think it helps a bit I do also have very little fever feeling in the evening. My doctor told me to apply cold packs but it doesn't help.
I had a procedure about 1 month ago. I am concerned that my donor area has been damaged as I have a huge patch on one side - where there is not much growth. I also went to the doctor because I had a lot of red spots on my head and was itching like crazy - he prescribed me some antibiotics and this has helped. But generally is the donor area supposed to look like this. I am really ancious
Hi! I did a hair transplant with FUE method 2,5 months ago. Since the operation my head has been itching regularly, but I have avoided scratching. I press with the back of my fingers on the area to ease the itching. However, I think I might scratch my head at night in my sleep because I have recently, last 2-3 weeks, have small wounds on my head, maybe 3-6 in total. I have seen blood stains on my pillow and I have crusts on my head from the wounds. Should I be worried? Is it normal? What to do?
I am 7 days post op FUE. The last 3 days I've had discomfort in donor area which has some relive with ibuprofen 600mg as needed. Since it was itching a bit and the discomfort seemed to be in areas of crust in donor area, I gently scraped off a few hundred dandruff/blackhead looking crusts from donor area. My question is, was that the hair roots that I scraped off that's suppose to grow back in the donor area? Or was it ok to scrape off those little crusts? Please see pic of crust removed.
