I have been told to apply the lotion half an hour before by dabbing gently using my hand on only the transplant area and then wash off using a jug, not under direct pressure of a shower. I was then told to do the same with the shampoo. Can anyone confirm if this is correct please?
I am a family medicine doctor, I did a hair transplant 6 weeks ago with 5100 hair follicles until now I still have redness in the donor area. My doctor doesn't recommend any treatment and recommends to wait for 3 months after the hair transplant for re-evaluation. I am in a hurry because I am a doctor and I think a weak hydrocortisone lotion will solve the problem in a week but I need another opinion to support my doctor's opinion or my opinion according to a hair transplant specialist experience.
Hello, 2 months post-op FUE, yesterday I made a stupid decision of going to a tanning salon for an 8 minute tanning session. I put tanning lotion on the recipient area and wore a 50 UPF bandanna that completely covered my scalp but Im still deeply regretting my decision and absolutely will not go back!! Did I do permanent damage in spite of the lotion and bandanna? Attaching photo of the bandanna.
I am 5 days post-op FUE (3600 grafts), and I was told to start my hair wash 4th day with applying the Bepanthol lotion on the recipient area, and then wash it off with Sebamed shampoo. However, both yesterday and today (5th day post-op) I didnt manage completely to get off the lotion from my scalp after washing (please see picture), and it just gets absorbed a bit later. Will this create any problems for my hair growth? If so, should I stop with the lotion until I can touch the grafts? Thank you
After 10 days of FUE hair transplant, i started developing small alopecia aerate (hair fall) near donor area. What should i do?. My dermatologist says after looking at my pics that I should just apply Provate S lotion at night only. Will this portion of alopecia aerate have hairs again or will it spread more?. Whats treatment in general or precautions are recommended.
I was given Bepanthol lotion after hair transplant and told to leave it for 30 min then wash it off. I was wondering, if I could leave it for a whole day to style my hair as I dont want to use any gel because of bad experiences in the past. I must mention I have quiet oily scalp. Many thanks
a lot of hair has fallen out over the past 4 washes. I've applied lotion, baby oil and tried gentle massage over the past two days to get the scabs out. Q1: what you think of the transplant and how my scalp looks Q2: should i just be more patient and continue to use lotion and baby oil to get the scabs out or is there something else i need to do? Q3: I am assuming the redness is just part of the course of healing. How long should I expect it to last for?
I had FUE ht surgery a month ago .. Also I have mild psoriasis ... Before surgery my scalp was completely clean and now very few small psoriasis plaques occurred and this is normal .. Can I use my regular psoriasis lotions with cortisone and steroid content on my scalp .. I use dermovate scalp lotion .. I am afraid to harm my transplanted new hair ? Shall I use it or not?
