I read that direct sun exposure should be avoided after a HT. How about indirect sun exposure, which can also expose the skin to UV? That would mean sitting inside the car or inside the office with indirect sunlight. Thanks!
Hello!! Today I walked in the sun and it was 18 degrees, after 11 days post hair transplant, from 15:10 or 15:30 to 16:30, so during one hour or one hour and twenty minutes. I have long hair too, because the grafts are implanted inside in three areas with less density. So my question is, does that walk in the sun damage the implanted grafts?
When I got the FUE 2 months ago it was only for 1,600 grafts, I still have a lot of coverage on my head. Plus I plan on wearing a bandana and baseball cap on top of that. From what I hear the sun wont effect graft growth unless it has direct contact with grafts. Is this true?
I was outside midday chatting with some friends and lost track of time. I felt a tingling sensation before realizing how long I had been in the sun. Since then, I continue to feel tingling, and occasional stinging. Overall Im not in pain. Ive checked my head and everything looks normal to me. I cant tell if its possible I damaged the grafts, or if the tingling/occasional stinging is just the nerves in my head reacting to the heat. Please note I had an FUE procedure around 15 days ago.
Hi, so on 8.2.2018 i had hair transplant in FUE method, and im abit confused. 1. Doctor said i cannot sweat for 1 month, but told me after 1 week i can have sex - im confused because i do sweat in sex, so should i wait or not? 2. Exposing the transplanted hair to direct sun for few seconds cannot do any harm? Thank in advance, im pretty nervous, its my first time (:
I would like to know why sun exposure is bad. I see many conflicting anwers. Is it because it will cause skin discoloration? Or Is it because it will cause hair grafts to not grow? Or Both? different websites and doctors say different things and it is making me confused. I just want to know. I accidently went in the sun for 10 minutes on day 14 post op. And for my own peace of mind I want to know if its my skin that could be damaged or if my hair wont grow. More concerned of my hair.
Hi, I am planning on having a FUE transplant in May. I have booked a three week holiday in Malaysia in July. I was wondering whether it will be ok for me to go on holiday at 2 month post transfer? Will the sun exposure damage the grafts? Also, is it ok to swim/dive in the sea? Thank you!
Unfortunately 13 days after my 4000 FUE hair transplant i went out in the sun around like 2 minutes and the sun is very hot. After that exposure i was felt like burning on the recipient area and numbness. I was not having these sensation's before sun exposure. It is my 14th day after FUE and am still having the numbness in my recipient area. I am scared that did i damaged my nerves so it is causing numbness. Please help me.
