I believe im within the norwood 5 to norwood 6 range. I have good donor area in the back as well as willing to use beard grafts too. I have a VERY thick and long growing beard that grows very fast so that is an option too. While i do like medium length to long length hair i also love shaved head look. But what stops me is the horse shoe pattern. I would like to get a hair transplant that can fill in enough that gives me a very nice looking full shaved head look without any horse shoe shadow
Answer: Graft Size Dear swagswag101001, Thank you for your inquiry. A picture showcasing your donor area would greatly assist us in evaluating the current hair situation. The quantity of grafts that can be transplanted into the bald area is directly influenced by the quality and quantity of the donor area. The survival rate of grafts in the donor area, particularly beard grafts, is a critical consideration in our practice. We generally avoid beard grafts due to concerns about their survival rate. Even if you have an adequate donor area, it may be advisable to focus more on either the frontal or top area, given the apparent limitation in the quantity of grafts in your case. Answer: A uniform shaved look is achievable. You've assessed your situation well - NW 5/6 seems right based on the photo. A hair transplant could indeed be a viable option for achieving the shaved head look without the horseshoe pattern. By strategically utilizing both scalp and beard grafts, you should be able to achieve a uniform hair distribution across your head. It's important to consult with a qualified hair transplant specialist to discuss your specific goals, assess your donor areas, and determine the most suitable approach for achieving the desired results. You also want to make sure you don't have any underlying scalp conditions before getting a transplant to make sure the transplanted hair will have optimal growth.

Answer: Class 5 & 6 Transplant To accomplish this result you will require 4,500-6,000 grafts. You will also need to start medical therapy like topical finasteride so you do not progress to a Norwood 7. Regenerative treatments like CRP, adipose stem cells, and exosomes prior to the transplant will provide better existing hair coverage further enhancing the result. It is possible to build a strong hairline. You have to replicate the same density you were born with to make a crown look full. With this in mind, you may want to consider a combination of grafts followed by SMP into the scar.

Answer: FUE transplant to add density Considering that you have a good donor on the scalp or beard, if we transplant 3,000 to 3,500 grafts will look amazing and you can have this short hair look and also will look 100% natural.
