Huge acne scar not responding to previous treatments. (Photo)

I had a very serious picking problem up until last year and now don't pick at all. I have had 6 Jessner peels and 12 laser treatments over the last almost 2 years or so. What can I possibly do to get some better results? I feel so disfigured I barely leave the house. Thanks so much.

Identify the scar type then find the correct method

Peels and lasers are not always the answer to optimal scar management.

I work backwards, namely identify the scar type then provide a scar management program based upon the scar type. That is finding the best possible METHOD for treating your scar. This may involve several treatments, using many devices.

The video below explains.

Acne scars from picking ENGLEWOOD Cliffs NJ

In my opinion, the scars from picking of acne lesions tend to be deeper and more bound down. Treatment for bound down acne scars may include subcision to release the tethers. The Next Step would be to volumize underneath the scar with micro needling radio frequency (infini), tca cross and fillers. After the scars have been lifted, ablative and non-ablative Laser lasers as well as standard micro needling can be utilized. The process includes various different methods and several treatments. Please be patient. Find an acne scar expert. Hope this helps. Good luck

Deep Acne Scars NYC

I am so sorry for your acne scars and problem with healing these scars.  Unfortunately when you have deep acne scars you may need several different treatments. Bellafill or Restylane would greatly help fill in these scars since so many of them are so deep.  You may need even more aggressive treatments with deeper Fraxel lasers or dermabrasion.  Please consult an expert.  Best, Dr. Green
