Based on how much weight I've lost (212lbs) and what I think is horizontal laxity (less than ideal photos attached), I suspect I may be recommended to get an FDL tummy tuck over a standard one. Ive had a bit of a hard time researching surgeons because it seems very few display pictures of multiple FDL results. There are plenty, however, who showcase excellent standard TT results. I have two questions: 1. Is a surgeons skill/results with a standard tummy tuck likely to translate well to an FDL tummy tuck? 2. Is it rude or unusual to ask a surgeons office directly if you can come and see any FDL results they have, if they dont have many posted? This would be before deciding to book a consult. Thank you for your help!
Im 24 years old and Ive lost 145 pounds. I have quite a bit of loose skin. Would I need a Fleur de Lis or could a regular tummy tuck take care of most of my loose skin? Im really not wanting the vertical scar from the Fleur de Lis. Just wanted advice and if anyone has any pictures of a regular tummy tuck on someone with loose skin similar to mine? Thank you.
Hello Im 31, 51, and I weight about 241 lbs. I been wanting a tummy tuck with maybe lipo 360 due to me having kids. The thing is I have sickle cell disease, but Im not like most sickle cell patients. Overall Im in good health. I have a hematologist I see every 3-4months. My lab work be pretty good for the most part. Hemagoblin be either 10-11 . Iron good right now. And I might have a sickle cell crisis maybe once or twice (depending on weather) a year. But rarely hospitalized. My hematologist cleared me for bariatric surgery but I really want a tummy tuck and or lipo. Am I able to get cosmetic surgery?
During a consultation I have been told by a surgeon that I qualify for a full Tummy Tuck with a shorter scar. So more extensive than a mini Tummy Tuck where my belly button would be redone because loose skin be pulled from the top down but with a smaller incision than a usual TT. My fear is this may not remove all the loose skin I want and leave me with uneven bulges if the hip area loose skin is not taken along with fat removal if required? Im 49kg and 5ft 1 are my fears correct?
I already train 4x a week, and eat within my calorie intake, but this pooch has never left, even after 3 coolsculpting sessions! Not sure where to turn next? After so much weight training and cardio its a bit discouraging, Id love to get a professional opinion. Thanks! (133 lbs, 58, 30 y/o, no kids)
Hello. Im wondering if there are alternatives to a tummy tuck to fix the loose skin/cellulite appearancein my upper abdomen. Im 57 125lbs for reference. I carried my kids very high during pregnancy and my insecurity is the upper portion of my stomach. Would losing more weight help this? I really dont want to have a full TT if there are non surgical options. Thank you so much for any advice!
Ive had 2 kids and this is what my stomach looks like 19 months later. Im wondering if a tummy tuck is my only option? I know its not too bad but my belly button bothers me the most. Im also worried if I got a tummy tuck the belly button scar would be higher on me and not be completely removed, therefore left with a huge scar and then a belly button scar as well. Im just not sure if its worth it or what else I could do.
I have a question regarding a tummy tuck. I am 54 and 125 lbs. Have had 2 prior pregnancy and gained 80 lbs with each pregnancy. Both my children were born via c/s. Have had two consultations and one doctor recommended a tummy tuck, muscle repair, and lipo. Second recommended same but more Fdl with a horizontal and vertical incision . Trying to get insight if necessary to have the vertical incision.
I lost about 100 lbs over 20 yrs ago and have loose skin in my ab area. I'd like to get rid of the lower apron and love handles. I've consulted with 5 different surgeons for tummy tuck: 1 recommends lipo to flanks, 1 recommends 360 lipo as a separate procedure after the TT if I'm not happy with the results, 2 think lipo isn't needed (both say I already have a good shape or I have little to no fat, 1 of whom says he can excise fat and get the same result), and 1 recommends adding 360 lipo to the TT as one procedure. I'm currently deciding between 2 of these surgeons: one that says I don't need lipo & can excise fat for the same results and the one that recommends adding 360 lipo to the TT. The one that says I don't need lipo will combine my TT with an arm lift, which I would like to do; the one that recommends adding 360 lipo is more expensive overall & will not combine a procedure. Suffice to say, given this cost of the procedure, how does a surgeon decide on whether a patient would benefit or need lipo to flanks/360 lipo or not? Which is correct? For me, this has made the process of selecting a surgeon much more difficult.
I am 2 weeks post op and just started draining dark brown fluid from a tiny site on my incision. There is no foul odor and is thin in consistency. I noticed it leaking about 2 days ago but was minimal. This morning I woke up completely soaked and it was running down my leg. Ive sent a message over to my surgeon but I am still waiting. Should I be concerned that the fluid is increasing? I did slightly tighten my binder yesterday because i felt my binder was loose and i was having discomfort.
