Hello. Im wondering if there are alternatives to a tummy tuck to fix the loose skin/cellulite appearancein my upper abdomen. Im 57 125lbs for reference. I carried my kids very high during pregnancy and my insecurity is the upper portion of my stomach. Would losing more weight help this? I really dont want to have a full TT if there are non surgical options. Thank you so much for any advice!
During a consultation I have been told by a surgeon that I qualify for a full Tummy Tuck with a shorter scar. So more extensive than a mini Tummy Tuck where my belly button would be redone because loose skin be pulled from the top down but with a smaller incision than a usual TT. My fear is this may not remove all the loose skin I want and leave me with uneven bulges if the hip area loose skin is not taken along with fat removal if required? Im 49kg and 5ft 1 are my fears correct?
Hello, I'm 38f, 5'5 and 170lbs. I'm currently losing weight and getting back to my normal BMI after gaining weight this past year. I never had children, however I had an emergency ectopic pregnancy and lost an ovary and fallopian tube ten years ago. Because of that surgery I have a cesarian scar, but I don't know if that means I require muscle repair. It's important to me to have a smooth look. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!
Hi, i had a tummy tuck 8 months ago but my obliques look very weird. It's because i had a bed tummy tuck or is this normal? I also got an umbilical hernia repair and i still have a bulge around my belly button. Im desperate. I already talk to my Dr and he send me to get an ultrasound but ill like an extra opinion. Thank you
I had an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair, lipo (back and flanks), and BBL 7 months ago. I have been pretty flat after the surgery up until 2 months ago. I did start to gain weight (15lbs) and I just restarted my GLP1. I have not done any exercise since before surgery. About 2 months ago, I started noticing an abdominal bulge, particularly on the left upper abdomen. I feel mild pain as well. I did not have this pain before noticing the bulge. It is not reproducible with palpitation. I only really feel it when I lay on my abdomen at night or when I stretch. My whole upper abdomen feels and looks like it's bulging but you can see it more on the left. Is this a failed muscle or possibly a hernia formation?
Based on how much weight I've lost (212lbs) and what I think is horizontal laxity (less than ideal photos attached), I suspect I may be recommended to get an FDL tummy tuck over a standard one. Ive had a bit of a hard time researching surgeons because it seems very few display pictures of multiple FDL results. There are plenty, however, who showcase excellent standard TT results. I have two questions: 1. Is a surgeons skill/results with a standard tummy tuck likely to translate well to an FDL tummy tuck? 2. Is it rude or unusual to ask a surgeons office directly if you can come and see any FDL results they have, if they dont have many posted? This would be before deciding to book a consult. Thank you for your help!
I have had four pregnancies and my upper stomach skin is loose. I am thinking of getting breast implants to fix a loss of volume and was wondering if I could have a reverse tummy tuck at the same time to tighten the skin.
