I have been thinking about upper eyelid surgery but then I am wondering whether it will be enough to open my eyes? I have very obvious extra skin on my eyelashes and a having a lower set brow does not bother me personally, as long my eyes are not covered by the skin. Can I do well just with the eyelid surgery (which is faster and less costly)?
I had an upper blepharoplasty abroad back in January, and my eyelids are still uneven. One eyelid looks more swollen I think. I dont know if its fluid buildup or what it is or whats going on. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Do I need revision surgery?
I'm exploring the possibility of undergoing an upper blepharoplasty. In my teen years, I was diagnosed by an ophthalmologist with blepharochalasisa condition involving changes to the upper eyelids. Since I was a kid , Ive noticed recurring episodes where my upper eyelids suddenly develop multiple folds / creases after sleep. These folds can result in a swollen, droopy appearance or create a wrinkled texture (or both), as shown in the photos. At times, each eyelid appears noticeably different from the other. However, there are days after sleep it goes away and my eyelid skin goes back to normal (attached in photo). These episodes tend to make my eyelids feel heavy, especially when I look down for long periods and then shift my gaze upward. The attached video illustrates this fluctuation: my eyelid initially appears droopy, then shifts to a wrinkled form after a few blinks. I experience episodes frequently. When they occur, my eyelids often feel dry yet sticky, which seems to contribute to the shifting folds and overall discomfort The only reliable remedy for my lids to go back to normal is maintaining few consecutive days of good sleep. Im unsure whether upper blepharoplasty is the right path forward, given that I have episodes frequently but arent present every day. But Im curious if excess skin may be contributing to these changes and whether the procedure might help reduce the severity or frequency of these episode
I think im going to start consulting with mds soon. I already had a lower bleph a few years ago and it's been great. I'm looking into doing either an upper bleph or maybe and eyebrow lift and idk how to decide which is one right for me?
What type of lower blepharoplasty would be best for my tired looking eyes. Would fat repositioning with transconjunctival approach be best or would I need a external incision to remove skin and tighten then fat transfer
Im 35 and have had hollow under eyes my whole life. Now with the addition of volume loss, wrinkles and loose skin its time to seek treatment. From what you can see in my pictures, would you recommend surgery or fillers to address my under eye area? Thank you
Turning 40 this year and feel like my face (especially eyes) have aged a decade nearly overnight. Ive had Botox and dysport before. Never filler (too scared about filler migration) but wondering if upper/lower Bleph will help with the pitosis as well? I often get told I look really tired even after a full sleep.
Hello! i have always been insecure of my frog like eyes, my deep eye bags, how my eyes barely move when i smile, their negative vector, how prone i am to ptosis especially when tired to the point that once i was at the hospital for an unrelated reason and was asked if i had Horner syndrome, which later i was found not to. I have heard of multiple procedures that might help such as lower blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, canthoplasty, infraorbital rim implants, lower eyelid retraction surgery, temporal lift etc but not sure which is better in terms of effectiveness and safety. Would love to hear your opinions i am 25 and female
