Did I tear my breast pocket 5 days post breast augmentation?

Question

I am 6 days post op from a sub muscular BA and my left breast has been virtually painless and healing nicely. Last night, without thinking I used my left arm to move my body and immediately felt a sharp ripping sensation in my left breast and it has been sore since with a sort of dull pain. I’m freaking out that I might have damaged the pocket or done something terrible that will affect the results of my surgery. Please help

It may not be an issue however it would be a good idea to see your surgeon for an assessment. That way, your surgeon can rule out anything serious.

It's unlikely that you did major damage by using your arm to turn in bed but it is always best to talk to your surgeon just to be sure.  Until you are able to speak with her/him rest the area and continue to follow post op instructions.

Hello and thank you for your question .  I doubt that you hurt anything surgically just by body movement, however, for reassurance I recommend you seeing your PS to be safe.
