Breast implant illness refers to a constellation of systemic symptoms which a patient will attribute to the presence of silicone implants. This is an area of much controversy. There is no medical evidence of a cause and effect link. Some patients will achieve symptomatic relief after removal while others do not. As such, treatment is unclear with most recommending explant and capsulectomy. With regards to your specific question, rates are difficult to ascertain as there is no medical means...
Hello, thank you for sharing you concerns and your photos.Following a tummy tuck and BBL, asymmetry of the umbilicus can occasionally occur due to factors such as individual anatomy, healing patterns, or tension on the skin during closure. While mild deviations are not uncommon, noticeable off-centering may require evaluation to determine if revision is appropriate. Patients with concerns about contour or alignment after surgery are encouraged to consult with a board-certified plastic...
Good morning. In general, if the fat is transferred correctly during a BBL, the proportion can be maintained as you gain weight, but it's not guaranteed. Transferred fat behaves like the rest of your body fat: it can increase or decrease depending on your weight, but not always in a perfectly proportional way.The best solution would be to reach a stable, healthy weight that you feel good about and can maintain long-term before your BBL. If you want a little more volume for your fat...
Hello,Thank you for your question. At nearly six years post-rhinoplasty, a persistent lateral nasal bump likely representing a graft or residual irregularity may be addressed non-surgically in select cases. Options include hyaluronic acid filler to camouflage the contour defect or corticosteroid injections if the bump is related to soft scar tissue; however, these are temporary and may not fully correct structural issues. For definitive improvement, minor surgical revision may be necessary.
Hi there,Thank you for your question. In my opinion, you are definitely a candidate for a tummy tuck. Liposuction nor J Plasma will resolve the amount of loose skin that is there. I am afraid you will not get the results you are looking for with either of those treatments. I would recommend a tummy tuck with a breast lift (with or without implants). Please make sure your surgery is performed by a Board Certified plastic surgeon. Good luck to you!
Great question! There is no evidence to show that having a breast reduction can increase your risk of developing breast cancer. In fact, removing some of the breast tissue could potentially reduce your risk of breast cancer in the future. In conjunction with surgical oncologists, we sometime actually perform a breast reduction as a first step in patients with a genetic susceptability of breast cancer so that they are able to undergo a nipple sparing prophylactic mastectomy in the future....
Patient concerns regarding the appearance of their breasts can typically be divided in two pools: volume, ptosis (droop). The procedures to address these issues are as different as the issues themselves. However, these concerns are not mutually exclusive. Many patients, whether they are aware or not, will benefit from both. There are two factors which can help to answer the question of which surgery will deliver the most satisfying result: mastopexy, augmentation or both. Patients must first...
Thank you for your question. Congratulations on your weight loss journey, and sticking with your goals! Based on the photographs, liposuction is a great option and with a skin-tightening procedure at the same time. If there is any skin laxity from the weight loss, though, excision with a mini-tummy tuck may be needed. As echoed by many others, if you are planning on having children in the future, it is best to wait for a full tummy tuck once you are through having kids. A consultation with a...
Hi there,Thank you for your question. You may benefit from a non-surgical option. I like dermal filler such as Juvéderm Eye Light for under the eyes. I recommend starting with two syringes and then re-assessing and possibly repeating in 8 weeks. You should notice subtle improvement that would last approximately 2 years.
At 25–26, you are still very young, and a facelift is usually not recommended at this age. If your goal is to look more youthful or even younger than your age, there are gentler and less invasive options that can refresh your appearance, such as: skin treatments by laser or subtle enhancements like Botox for fine lines or small-volume fillers (if suitable).
