I had a breast reduction over a year ago through insurance and about 400 grams was removed from each breast. I terribly miss the size and regret the reduction. If i get 425 cc implants will they be the same size as before? do grams of fat and cc of implants correlate in that way?
Answer: Can I get 400cc implants after a breast reduction with 400g removed If 400 g were removed following a breast reduction and implants of about that size were placed, the volume would be in the general vicinity of breast volume previously. Do remember a few things. Inherent in a breast reduction is a breast lift. One would expect with implants for the breasts to be more elevated than they were preoperatively. In general, higher breasts look larger than breasts that are lower on the frame, especially in clothing. Also, you may wish to discuss this with your surgeon. Some of the 400 g removed could have been from tissue closer to the armpit region. A 400 mL implant may make you look like you have more prominence than previously. A good discussion with your surgeon sounds helpful in your case. The overall volumes may be in the same ballpark but the look would be expected to be quite different from your pre-breast reduction appearance.

Answer: Reaugmentation after a reduction While not exact, 425 should be similar. Do try on implant sizers to be sure you like what you see in a testing bra. Having removed natural tissue and having had a lift with your reduction may set you up for a more gratifying result with augmentation. It is the natural breast tissue that droops over time. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast implants Thanks for your question! Breast implants will always look different than native breast tissue. I would suggest an in person consultation to try on implants and find a look that you like. Good luck!

Answer: Consider cup size Hi, thanks for the question. When we perform breast reduction surgery we remove particular amounts of tissue and also we reshape the remaining tissue. So you better consider the cup size. If you know your previous cup size you can do the basic math. Each 200 cc will increase one cup size. With 400 cc implants your cup size will increase approximately two cup sizes. I hope this answer helps you.

Answer: Reduction Hi there! Thank you for sharing your question. Grams of tissue and cc of implants don’t convert 1:1, since breast tissue has variable density compared to implants. Meaning it would be tricky to accurately estimate if a an implant of similar weight will also be a volume match. Therefore shape and feel may be different. A consultation with a plastic surgeon can help you visualize the potential outcomes and choose the implant size that most closely matches your goals.

Answer: Can 425cc Implants Restore the Volume Lost in a 400g Reduction? Thank you for your question. It’s very understandable to want to restore a breast volume that once felt right for your body. While 400 grams and 400 cc might sound interchangeable, they are not always directly equivalent. Breast tissue has a different density and composition than silicone or saline implants. On average, 1 gram of breast tissue is roughly comparable to 1 cc of implant volume, but this ratio can vary depending on the firmness of the tissue and the type of implant being used. That said, a 425 cc implant will likely restore a similar visible volume to what was removed, though the shape and projection may be different due to surgical technique, tissue elasticity, and implant profile. Also, keep in mind that implants tend to sit higher and rounder than natural breast tissue, especially in breasts that have previously undergone reduction. To match your former breast size and silhouette as closely as possible, your surgeon will assess not just volume, but also skin laxity, nipple position, and the relationship between implant and chest wall. A 3D simulation or sizing session with implant sizers can give you a clearer sense of how different volumes will look on your frame. Consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon experienced in secondary breast procedures would be the best next step toward making a confident, personalized choice. Warm regards,Op.
