Do I need rhinoplasty? (Photos)

Addressing the shape of your nose (especially the nasal tip) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. Hi, It is better for you to consult with your facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and give you opinion based on examination. You are the one who decide for Rhinoplasty, wither your nose shape bothers you or not.

Based on your photos, you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. The key is if you are not happy with with appearance of your nose. If your concerns match up with a surgeon's opinion, and there's a good way to improve those issues, then definitely, you should have a nice improvement. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

In general, we do not advocate rhinoplasty surgery for somebody who has mild dissatisfaction with the appearance of their nose. Based on your photos, you appear to have a crooked nasal appearance on front view and a droopy nasal tip appearance on profile. If these issues are causing severe dissatisfaction, depending on your examination, rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for achieving a straighter and narrow nasal appearance along with additional tip projection, rotation, and dorsal lowering. I think rhinoplasty would be worthwhile in your case. Many plastic surgeons don’t like doing rhinoplasties and that may be the reason the one plastic surgeon turned you down. I would get other opinions

Some surgeons will say no if the area to be changed is outside of their true expertise. A nose expert would likely be able to get you to your goal.
I'd need a side photo as well to give you more information, but, from the front there appear to be areas that can be improved.

A surgeon correctly says you don't need a rhinoplasty if your nose is so close to perfect that it would be wrong to operate on it, or if the risks outweigh the potential benefits. You only posted one photo, so we can't get a complete idea of what's going on, but from this photo, it looks as though your nose is long, so the tip could be elevated, and the bridge is wide, with the upper part of the bridge curving out to your right. Those changes alone, if you notice them, too, would make you a good candidate for a rhinoplasty.

It's a pet peeve of mine, when a doctor says you *shouldn't* have an operation at all, because he doesn't want to do it *himself*, or because he doesn't know how to accomplish it himself.

I would ignore him and continue to investigate getting the changes you want.

You are an excellent candidate for a rhinoplasty. The nose is not straight and your dorsum deviates to the right and the tip deviates the the left. You would also probably benefit from a septoplasty as well.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
