I'm so sorry to hear of your auto accident. Be sure to contact your surgeon to let her/him know and schedule any follow ups that are recommended. Your surgeon should review "red flags" with you that could indicate internal concerns.

the main complication to be concerned is bleeding, that will be shown as bruising. If adequate testing was done and you do not have significant increase in pain, then it seems that no major injuries happened. Make sure that your Dr. is aware of your process.
Finally, make sure that you have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Please follow up with your Plastic surgeon.  They can examine you to help reassure you.  Sorry to hear this happened. I had a patient of mine need emergency surgery after a car accident.  I am glad you did not require any surgery.

I am sorry to hear about the accident you were involved in. Given that you were seen in the emergency room, I am sure that potentially serious problems were ruled out.
