What is the best treatment for raised acne scars on the chin? (photos)

I had four fraxel treatments but it didn't do the job. Should I continue doing Fraxel treatments or are there better options? I don't get acne anymore so the main concern is just to smoothen the surface.

eMatrix or Microneedling would probably help more than your current treatment. Intralesional cortisone injections will help as well.  Please consult an expert.  Best. Dr. Green

In my opinion, you have hypertrophic scars on your chin. The first and easiest treatment to try is intralesional injections with steroids, Verapamil or 5 fluorouracil . If you have darker skin, steroids should be avoided. Following this, a microneedle roller and silicone gel can be implemented. Should this not be effective, one can add micro needling or ablative and non-ablative lasers. Find an acne scar expert. Ask to see photos. Hope this helps.

At our practice we use different therapies for acne scars which include: micro-needling, PRP, CO2RE laser, Sublative Fractional RF (fraxel with skin tightening) as well as deep chemical peels.

Based on skin type, goals and downtime we create a unique treatment plan tailored to each patient.

Micro-needling and PRP are safe for all skin types and procedure can be adjusted, or uniquely tailored depth-wise to achieve maximum results.  Multiple treatments are usually necessary.

Our CO2RE laser has many depths available to achieve great results on acne scars, deep lines/wrinkles, sun damage as well as stretch marks and post surgical scar therapy. There is a wide range of downtime depending on the amount of downtime the patient can accommodate.

In addition, we have Sublative Fractional RF which is fractional technology enhanced with skin tightening abilities.  Multiple treatments are usually necessary and this laser works fantastic on eyes, chest, neck, hands  as well as face and even tummy.  We have seen amazing results on tummy tuck patients wanting that last bit of tightening and textural improvement with Sublative Fractional RF.

The VI Peel is a great peel to help with acne scars, lines/wrinkles, large pores and sun damage.  I would recommend one or two if possible.

Hope this helps.  Good luck.
