Fast forward the below video to the filling section. Yes, in the US there are permanent fillers such as Bellafill, however in Australia we only have Restylane (not great) and Juvederm (better). The later two fillers are HA fillers and last 9-18 months, so these are NOT permeant.
Dermal grafting and fat grafting can be permanent. Dermal grafts are easy to conduct, however for best results should be followed with laser resurfacing (preferably erbium laser if you have darker skin type).

Thank you for your question. I would highly recommend Bellafill for any atrophic acne scars. Bellafill is a 5 year FDA approved filler. Immediately adding volume to lift acne scars. The PMMA in Bellafill also help to replace lost collagen. It is immediate correction with long lasting improvement. Best of luck!

Bellafill is basically permanent. HA fillers will give you 6-9 months. Filler is not able to treat all types of scars and is best to treat only the distensible rolling scars. Boxcar and icepick scars need other therapy such as TCA Cross, or Infini.
Bellafill is purported to last at least five years and other hyaluronic based fillers can last six months to one year. Please consult an expert with scars and reversing them with fillers and lasers. Best, Dr. Green
In the treatment of acne scars, fillers are often utilized. There exists two permanent fillers, silicone and Bellafill. Furthermore, clinicians use hyaluronic acid fillers which are capable of lasting two years and are reversible.Sculptra also lasts 2 years and can not be reversed. Most acne scar experts have their own personal opinion as to whether permanent fillers are a good concept. Find someone who has experience in both permanent as well as long lasting fillers. Ask to see photos. Ask about the side effects of long lasting fillers and side effects of permanent fillers. Hope this helps. Good luck.
