Treatment For Wrinkles Around Mouth
Hi and thank you for your question!
These are very stubborn lines and usually require multiple steps in order to make significant changes. The most "natural" route is to do a laser or other energy based treatment, which will use your own body's healing process to stimulate collagen and repair the tissue. We don't use the older method of dermabrasion much anymore, we use different types of laser treatments that heal quicker and have less pain. We would recommend either the Halo or the Contour laser for this area. Additionally, the most effective topical creams you can use are Retinol based products. These will help to prep the skin for the laser and also help to maintain the results after the treatment. Otherwise, if you decide you want to go further, you will want add Botox/Dysport and/or fillers.

Upper lip lines topical treatments
Retin A will help with fine superficial lines. However, these are typically very difficult to treat and need aggressive combination therapy to get any improvement.
The Best Approach Would Be a Combination Approach-Lip Lines -- Lasers, Microneedling/PRP, Botox, Fillers
You can try some creams or even chemical peels, but the best results would be from a combination of fillers and lasers with microneedling/prp. These types of lines will take a series of treatments for improvement. Please see an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Smoker line treatment
Hi and thanks for your question. This is a very common complaint.
A combination therapy would be the best.I usually start with neuromodulators like botox and then fillers.
A few sessions of ablative laser is also helpfull
Treatment Of Smoker's Lines Of The Upper Lip
"Smoker's lines" of the upper lip are one of the most intractable problems that we routinely face. The modalities you cite, neuromodulators, fillers such as belotero, and dermabrasion can all play a role in ameliorating these lines, although none of them, in isolation, can "cure" this problem.
Other adjunctive treatments that we have found helpful include laser ablation (CO2 or fraxel) and aggressive chemical peels. We also feel that a well done augmentation of the upper lip with filler can draw the observer's attention away from the smoker's lines, even though it will not efface them.
