When can I stop applying antibiotic and start applying mederma, etc? (Photo)

I removed my dermabond last night after having it on for 12 days. This is day 2 of applying antibiotic but I'm not sure if it's futile adding it at this point since with the exception of small swell or lump next to the lump, the wound itself doesn't hurt when I clean it or put ointment on it. So I wonder it's already closed up fully and thus ready to add mederma or vitamin e, etc. Thank you for your help.

I would use a silicone based scar cream such as Plato's Scar Serum, followed by Melarase to help with color twice daily.

Once the scabs are gone topical wound care isn't helpful.  Silicone based gels may help and lasers / microneedling will give big improvement at this time.  Best, Dr. Emer.
