Uneven eyelids 6 months post upper blepharoplasty - do I need a revision? (Photos)

I had an upper blepharoplasty abroad back in January, and my eyelids are still uneven. One eyelid looks more “swollen” I think. I don’t know if it’s fluid buildup or what it is or what’s going on. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Do I need revision surgery?

Hello, it appears the asymmetry is from a volume imbalance. Meaning that the space under the brow bone (the superior sulcus) is more hollow on one side compared to the other. Now that the extra skin has been excised, this volume difference has likely become more visible. Would consider filler to the superior sulcus to create balance in the superior sulcus region. Please see an experienced oculoplastic surgeon for best results.

It does not appear that  there is significant asymmetry which would require immediate correction. Postoperative swelling may linger a long time after surgery and is usually responsible for these kind of asymmetries. I would suggest waiting at least one year before deciding about further surgeries, revisions. Good luck.

To make an assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure, we need to see quality before and after pictures.
Without seeing before pictures, we don’t know where your baseline was before the procedure.
You have in a hair to baseline a symmetry of your face with the eye sockets being in different positions in your head.
This may be contributing to the appearance of having uneven eyelids.
 Other than the baseline scoop structural asymmetry, I don’t actually see that much of an issue with the eyelids. I’m guessing there was probably some baseline asymmetry before surgery as well.
Consider reposting with proper before and after pictures.
If you don’t have before and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took.
Nothing is going to change unless you have further intervention.
Whether that intervention is going to deliver what you’re looking for is another question.
I suggest you follow up with your provider and discuss your concerns with him or her.
