Don't accept any steroid injection. They are destructive, they corrode tissues without control creating additional deformities, plus sometimes typical yellowish skin blemishes are possible.

Without an in-person examination, it’s not possible to say with certainty whether this bump is scar tissue, a cartilage graft, or a cyst. If it turns out to be scar tissue, a steroid injection may help reduce it. I doubt that this visible bump is a small circular piece of scar tissue. It is either a protruding piece of tip cartilage, or it could be a cyst in your skin. An examination should be able to determine the difference. If this is in fact a skin cyst, a drop of dilute steroid could make it disappear. If it is a fragment of tip cartilage, a steroid injection could make it become more visible. If your surgeon is not able to determine the difference, you may benefit from consultation with another reputable rhinoplasty specialist. I hope this is helpful, and I thank you for this question. You have an excellent result. I would advise against steroid injections. I don’t see the benefit and there is some risk involved

First, one has to be sure that it is a deep scar not a pimple, peace of cartilage or similar. Providing that is a scar, injection of corticosteroid like Kenalog may help to soften and reduce the scar. Good luck.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a steroid injection. But this should be performed by your surgeon and not someone else. If your surgeon will not, then I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

The indication for stared injections. Depends on what the underlying ideology is.
If this is a skin growth like a dermatofibroma or nevus(mole) then it’s not going to improve by injecting steroids.
If it’s due to an inflammatory response, then steroids can reduce the inflammation.
In my opinion, steroids are a little bit overused after rhinoplasty surgery.
Maybe both doctors and patients feel better that they tried something.
you may want to consider talking to a dermatologist to see if this is a benign skin growth to understand what the underlying ideology is.
It doesn’t seem consistent with where a Cartlidge graft would have been placed.
sometimes we just don’t know and it is what it is.
