I’m a 32 yo F and I have noticed as I get older my nose looks more bulbous and more lopsided. The right nostril is bigger than the left. Can this be fixed with surgery or would it be too difficult?

Answer: Alarplasty/Tip-plasty Your nostrils have some asymmetry which can be improved with alarplasty but nostrils can never be fully symmetric. The tip is bulbous and a tip-plasty will help define it. Both can be done under local anesthesia and recovery is quick. Your bridge looks good. So, no cartilage, implants or grafts needed. Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. Maneuvers for your surgery would include dorsal hump reduction, tip refinement, nasal tip deprojection, tip elevation, among other maneuvers. This can also be designed to help improve your nasal symmetry. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G.
