I’m a 44 year old female who had a breast reduction and lift. Prior to surgery my bust size was J cup and I had a 36cm drop. I had also undergone significant weight loss (60kg/120lbs). I’m unhappy with my results, I have no cleavage where I did before and there is allot of tissue inbtween the middle of my breast and the sternum.

Answer: Plastic surgery outcomes To make a quality assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. Pictures should be with you with your arms in a down position. Before pictures give us an understanding of your candidacy for the procedure. It tells us if it would be an easy or difficult procedure in regards to Aesthetic outcome. Most likely you had substantial amounts of excess skin that needed to be removed. Sometimes there’s so much skin that the scars need to be extended, and we generally don’t connect the dots in the midline during breast surgery. Breast reduction outcomes are often judged based on where the patient started. If you don’t have before, and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took Consider reposting it with proper before and after pictures. You should also follow up with your provider and have him or her address your concerns. You may also want to schedule a couple of in person second opinion consultations. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
