I am a 33 yo female, 5’4 currently 215lbs. I am looking to loose 35-40 lbs prior to doing any surgical procedures. However trying to see what my options look like. I feel like my breasts stopped growing as soon as they started. I have been the same non existent cup size since I started wearing a bra. I was unable to BF either one of my kids due to extremely low production. I feel like I have more ancillary tissue than actual breast.
Answer: Why do my breasts look this way and what are the best options to fix them? Thank you for sharing your photos and background. Based on your photos, your breasts appear to have very little central volume and more fullness toward the sides, which is something we commonly see in patients with limited natural breast development. The most effective option to enhance shape and volume would likely be breast augmentation with implants. This can help create a fuller, more balanced appearance and better define the breast contours. A consultation will give you a clearer idea of what’s possible and what approach would give you the best results.

Answer: Breast augmentation will correct hypoplastic breasts. You have hypoplastic breasts/constricted breasts. This is a variant of breast development where the breasts do not develop fully. To correct this, you would require a breast augmentation. A consultation with a plastic surgeon to perform measurements of your breast dimensions, ie, breast width, etc, and give you a chance to try on different implants in clothing so you can gauge how different size implants look on you, would be your first step. In addition to sizing information, your consult should include a detailed discussion of preparation for the procedure, its benefits and risks, and post operative expectations. Your consultation is the important first step.

Answer: BA candidate Dear Helpful355246, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from breast implants. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Considering Breast Augmentation After Weight Loss Goals Thank you for sharing your background—your goals and concerns are very valid, and it’s great that you’re thinking ahead while planning your weight loss. From what you’ve described, you sound like a suitable candidate for breast augmentation, particularly if you've consistently had limited breast volume and are now seeking more proportion and shape. Key factors working in your favor include: - Stable health and realistic goals: Planning to reach a steady weight before surgery sets the foundation for long-lasting results. - Consistently small breast size: Combined with low milk production, this may indicate underdevelopment, which implants can effectively address. - Presence of axillary (ancillary) tissue: This can be evaluated during your consultation and may be improved during the same procedure if needed. Once you’re closer to your target weight, a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help define the right implant size, type, and whether additional procedures such as a lift may enhance your results. I hope this helps clarify your path forward. Wishing you continued success on your journey. — Güray Yeşiladalı, MD
