Need Help with Acne - Nothing Works

What is a smart course of action if the common OTC treatments (proactive, neutrogena, cetaphil, acnefree, clean&clear...) do not work?

Effective treatments for acne

There are so many effective treatments for acne which your dermatologist can prescibe that I cannot list them all. Topical treatments with Differin, Tazorac, Retin A. Duac and Benzaclin, as well as new kid on the block, Aczone. Oral antibiotics like Doryx and Soladyne. Hormonal treatments like Yaz and spironolactone. Oral retinoids like Accutane, and light/laser treatments such as Isolaz, Cooltouch, blue light. Office peels and Silkpeel are also effective. The choices will depend on several factors that a board certified dermatologist will explain at consult.

Good Luck. You have only begun to fight.
