Although many laser treatments for acne scars are now very safe and have little downtime, it is important to know what other options are available for atrophic (pitted) acne scars.  Treatments such as subcision, dermal fillers, and strong chemical peels can be used to smooth of the texture of the skin.  If you are interested in laser treatments that do not have any 'downtime,' you might consider treatment with the Laser Genesis.  This laser treatment is completely painless and requires absolutely no downtime.  Over a series of treatments, the collagen in your skin is stimulated, which leads to permanent improvement.

You can consider at home chemical peels, and aggressive skin care. But instead of an abrasive laser you can consider some of the newer lasers that treat your skin more conservatively.
