Hello, I had a rhinoplasty done about 6 months ago, and one side of my nose looks completely different than the other side. I don’t even know how to describe it without pictures, front view on my nose my nasal bone sticks out more than the other side along with my nostrils on one side. I dont even know what to do, or if nasal rasping will help this weird asymmetry thats happening. My side profile looks different on both sides. Please let me know what is going on here so I can get some clarity.
Answer: Rhinoplasty revision The main thing I see is the tip is swollen. It could be improved with steroid injections. I think it may need to be shaved down a little to give you a better profile

Answer: I Recommend Revision Rhinoplasty | Facial Plastic Surgery Nosejob Expert | Swollen Tip Visible Wide Nasal Bones | Los Angeles Hello and thank you for your question and pictures. I can see what you're talking about but it's hard to fully tell based on these pictures and the swelling. Typically it takes up to 1-2 years for all the swelling to fully resolve, but if you are unhappy with the appearance of your nose, you would need a revision rhinoplasty to properly correct your issue and to solidly reinforce the entire underlying framework to assure you get the BEST long term results (to prevent distortion and retraction from scarring forces over time). Anyone who tells you otherwise is doing you a HUGE disservice! Revision rhinoplasty is truly a surgery of millimeters- they are the most technically challenging procedures in all of plastic surgery! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in revision rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading revision rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). If you are unhappy with the appearance of your nose, I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with revision rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Hmm. That's not what I notice about your nose... At least from these photos, the asymmetry is pretty small, and who knows what will happen to it as the swelling continues to subside. I'm more concerned about the definition of the tip -- the way the bridge is high on the profile view just above the tip, and the width of the tip, and the length of the nose on the 3/4 views. At 6 months, you still have some swelling to resolve, but usually not a huge amount of swelling. Do you notice any of those issues, too, or is it really just the asymmetry?
