Scarring from biting the inside of my cheek since childhood. Help! (Photo)
Since before I can even remember, I've always bitten the inside of my cheeks during times of stress or little sleep. Recently I've been finding it more and more difficult to smile fully, as well as open my mouth as wide as it usually does. Upon actually looking inside my mouth it seems a lot of scar tissue has been built up inside of my cheeks from at least 20 years of biting. Are there any treatments currently available that might be able to reduce, or at the very least smooth out this tissue?
