Laser for Moderate Under Eye Laxity/lines, Cancer Scar and Slight Marionette Lines for the Most Dramatic and Longlasting Result?

I had been considering a mid to deep peel, but decided I am not comfortable with the toxic chemical aspect. I'd like a fairly extensive re-surfacing of face (maybe neck/chest) for under eye lines and laxity, a 2"+ skin cancer scar/asymmetry by nose, minor marionette lines and sun damage/spots. Botox glabella/forehead 3-4 mos, and Radiesse every 1.5-2 years in naso-labial folds. I am less concerned with downtime and recovery as I want a long-lasting outcome. I am 50 with fair skin. Thanks!

A: Laser Resurfacing instead of Mid to Deep Chemical Peeling

Since you do not wish to undergo the peel resurfacing your alternate option for a long lasting result is laser resurfacing.

Specifically, Ultra Pulse CO2 fractional resurfacing (Total FX). This will help with laxity, deeper lines, scars, sun damage, age spots and collagen stimulation for plumping the skin. This treatment may be performed in combination with Botox or Dysport treatment just prior to resurfacing for optimal results.

You will more than likely need on-going Botox or Dysport and Radiesse for maintenance.

Should I Never Have Laser Resurfacing Again If I Got Hyperpigmentation After One Treatment?

I had erbium laser resurfacing done under both eyes on 7-19-11. I have what looks like post inflammatory hyper pigmentation that has developed under my entire right eye. What I want to know is does that mean that I should never have laser resurfacing done again. I really wanted to do full face later but now I don't know if it is a good idea. I have not spoken to my doctor about the hyper pigmentation yet I go to see him on sept 7th. Should I wait till then to talk to him about it?

A: hyperpigmentation is sometimes inevitable

Avoiding Sun exposure and using sunscreen as soon as your doctor tells you (usually around 1-2 weeks after the lasering or when you stop oozing and having raw areas). Hyperpigmentation is worse with the darker hair a person has in combination with the lighter skin a person has. Asians are one of the worst in terms of getting hyperpigmentation.

Misinformation Concerning ECO2 Laser and Malar Bags?

I'm 42 and about to undergo laser resurfacing of my lower eyelids to improve some crepiness of the skin. My surgeon uses the eCO2 laser, which brings me to my question. I've read a few posts from patients expressing concern that this particular laser caused damage to their Malar Bags.Is this a complication that is more likely with a full face resurfacing procedure,or is it a complication to be concerned about at all? Looking for a clarification on the topic.

A: co2 laser can tighten the skin but will have a hard time decreasing the malar bags

The malar bags is a consequence of volume loss in between the lower eyelid fat and the cheek fat / volume. You need to either remove the fat in the lower eyelids or do volumizing in between these two structures. co2 laser would be good for the creieness but will be limited
