Day 5 After Botox....absolutely No Difference in Glabella!

I had 16 ccs injected between my eyebrows 5 days ago. It is now day 5. I see nothing like the results on the BotoxCosmetic pamphlet. In fact, I can still frown just the same...with the same speed and intensity. I've heard of waiting 2-7 days for full effect...well I haven't seen ANY effect yet. I should mention that I'm only 31 and I workout about 5 days/week, but I followed my dr's post-injection instructions to a T. What gives??

A: Botox timing

Botulinum toxin (Botox) has a variable onset in different patients.  Typically changes are noted between 3 and 7 days, however full effect can take 10-14 days.

Botox 1 Wk Ago - Brows Now Asymmetrical. Is 1 Wk Long Enough to Tell or Should I Wait to Go Back?

I got botox for lines on forehead & bunny line on 1 side. I felt my dr put more on 1 side of my forehead than the other (assumed there was a reason). Now,1wk later, brow on side she favored is very lifted (esp. outer 1/3, esp. when I raise them). I dont care if both brows angle up like that 1 or both are normal like the other-as long as theyre a matching pair. Its the gross asymmetry I cant do. Is 1wk long enough to give? Should it be fixed free? Should I just go elsewhere after such bad results?

A: Botox for forehead wrinkles

Botulinum toxin (Botox) typically has it's maximal effect at 10-14 days.  If asymmetry persists beyond this time it is best to revisit your physician and discuss options.  Typically these asymmetries can be addressed with additional, appropriately placed botulinum toxin injections.

Would Botox in my Eyebrows Affect How Wide I Can Open my Eyes?

I'm interested in getting botox to lower my eyebrows, however I was wondering if this procedure would affect how wide I can open my eyes?

A: Botox in the Forehead: Shaping the Eyebrow

Botox can be injected in multiple different patterns in the eyebrow in order to shape the eyebrow. I inject Botox in multiple different patterns depending on what my patients want and how their eyebrows react to botox. Botox can be injected in a pattern to lift and lower the eyebrow. The finesse of Botox can really be appreciated when you bounce around and experience different injectors and their technique. I have multiple patients who can't get in to see me and they go to other injectors and get their eyebrows mal-positioned. Injection technique is truly an art and really takes a significant amount of experience between you and your Botox Injector. Botox in the eyebrow can help lower the eyebrow and can affect how wide you can open your eyes if it limits you lifting your eyebrows or causes a droopy eyelid. This can all be controlled with proper technique, so you should see an injector who has the confidence and the ability to individually shape the eyebrow. Please let me know if you have questions.
