Dr. Jennifer Reichel is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Seattle and Renton, Washington. As the founder and owner of Pacific Dermatology Cosmetic Center, with over 15 years of experience performing both surgical and cosmetic procedures, Dr. Reichel is an expert in facial and body rejuvenation, including body contouring, injectables, lasers, liposuction, and acne treatment. Dr. Reichel is also a skilled Mohs surgeon. After receiving her medical degree from the University of Colorado and completing an internship in internal medicine and a residency in dermatology, she pursued fellowship-training in Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery and cosmetic surgery at the University of Washington. "I have always been interested in the surgery side of medicine, because I love using my hands. So when I was a resident, I focused on skin cancer surgery,” says Dr. Reichel. “In the field of dermatology, skin cancer surgeons are also trained in cosmetic procedures. I honestly did not know that I was interested [in cosmetic dermatology] until we had a younger female patient come in for Botox treatment for the frown lines between the eyebrows. She had never had it before—this was 2003—but explained that people at work always thought she was angry. We did the treatment, and when she returned two months later, she cried as she described how her life had truly changed.” Further motivating Dr. Reichel to pursue a path in cosmetic and surgical dermatology was her desire to develop lasting relationships with her patients versus treating them once and never again. “This connection, this taking care of them over the years—this is what I love,” she says. “In the field of cosmetic and surgical dermatology, I am able to complete procedures, be artistic, and use my hands. But more importantly, I have an ongoing relationship with my patients. I get to touch their lives in a positive way.” Dr. Reichel believes that all procedures should be looked at from a medical approach versus a “spa”-like approach. “Every time I use a needle, or pass a laser over a face, I am doing a medical procedure,” she says. “It is to be taken seriously and to be done with diligence and care.” She respects all risks and safety concerns while offering the best state-of-the-art medicine. Dr. Reichel is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS).

From initial consultation to post procedure visit, Dr Reichel and her team were amazing. The outcome of my procedures are beyond expectations and I could not be more delighted. I’m telling everyone I know - if you think you want to have a little help feeling your best, go see Dr. Reichel. I feel and look so much better. Thrilled!
After years of getting filler under my eyes it started not working as well to cover my dark circles. Dr Reichel recommended blepharoplasty for this area as well as upper blepharoplasty. I was so impressed with how well I was treated and cared for by herself and her Nurse Marchella before and after surgery and I am very pleased with my results.
TLDR: I am very happy with results, it was totally worth it. Dr. Reichel and her entire office is amazing. I am uploading day by day photos, so that you can see the recovery trajectory for yourself. I should say that my first experience with Dr. Reichel was 4 years ago, as an exceptional Mohs surgeon. She removed a very challenging (due to location and size) BCC on my then 80 year old Dad, with excellent outcome. I have been seeing her since, for routine maintenance like Botox and Fraxel. I have had a permanent fold under my left eye pretty much as long as I can remember, and I thought that maybe it's something that could be smoothed out with either ultherapy or an extra laser treatment. But after taking a closer look this summer, Dr. Reichel said that this is an eye bag and it would take blepharoplasty to smooth it out. I knew that I was in excellent hands with Dr. Reichel as a surgeon, but it still took me 6 months to make up my mind, b/c I am more of a conservative "maintenance" kind of person, and it took me time to research and work up courage to go ahead with the procedure. I ended up doing lower bleph with simultaneous 30 percent TCA peel. There are a number of published peer reviewed papers on this combination of procedures going back literally 30 years, which to me was very reassuring, because it helped me understand that this was a well established procedure with predictable outcomes in the hands of someone as highly qualified as Dr. Reichel. The recovery took 6 days. I did take a week and a half of work, but as of day 6 I could go back to VC and no one would know any better. The procedure itself was completely painless. The recovery was definitely rougher than Fraxel, especially the first 2 days. The most important thing imo is to take all the physical restrictions very seriously. On the 5th day I lifted a couple of heavy boxes and bent a little too low, and that night I ended up having blood tinged tears. I called the office and Marcella reassured me that this was not unusual, and just stick to the post op regimen for a few more days. TLDR: I am very happy with the results, it was totally worth it. Dr. Reichel and her entire office is amazing. I am uploading day by day photos, so that you can see the recovery trajectory for yourself.
This was my 4th consultation for an eyelid surgery and suggestion for over all skin improvement. Doctor Rachel is very knowledgeable and explains everything to detail without any kind of pressure, rush or try of upselling you. I was suggested to start with Botox and doctor Rachel made such a great impression on me that I decided to get it right away during my consultation. She believes that less is more for a very beginner like me. I felt comfortable and without a risk with her. I’m happy with the results so far and I’m planning to schedule the surgery.
My experience with Dr. Reichel and her staff was great! I was a bit nervous and unsure of what to expect during my consultation, but Dr Reichel and her staff made me feel super comfortable. I was initially only interested in cool sculpting and a mole removal, but I mentioned how my friend had recently gotten a BBL and it looked amazing and how I was jealous of her new booty. Dr. Reichel had me show my figure and my expectations (I was looking for something more natural) and said that VASER HI-DEF with a modest butt lift (not a true BBL) might be a better fit for me. She was even kind enough to recommend me to other plastic surgeons that she knew that gave amazing BBL results! After our initial consultation I went to a couple of other surgeons and ended up scheduling my surgery with Dr. Reichel for vaser hi def on the abdomen (whole) and flanks on 2/3/2022. For reference, I am 34 years old 5'6, 127lbs.. I have played sports my entire youth (up until college) and am still fairly active. The tiniest I've been was when I was about 115 - 120lbs in high school and I guess it was when I looked the "best", but even then I never really felt "sexy". I would still consider myself lucky because the fat I had was distributed proportionally around my whole body (except for my boobs and butt HA!), but I was looking for something a little bit "more". On the day of surgery, Vida (the nurse who has helped me through the whole process and answering all of my questions) brought me into the consultation room and started prepping me for the operation. After changing into a gown and some meds (maybe 30 mins?) they took me into the operating room and started their magic! There was some minor discomfort here and there when they were injecting the fluids and again some minor discomfort when they started the actual suctioning, but otherwise it was pretty easy. When the doctor got to my sides, I started giggling because it felt like the cannula was tickling me! That was probably the hardest part for the actual lipo procedure. Afterwards, the doctor started injecting some of the fat into my butt and that was easy too! I can't remember too clearly, but I'm pretty sure that I told everyone that it felt like I was trying to sit on a pine cone or something. lol. Finally, they dressed me up in my compression garment and sent me on my way. Now, the recovery is probably the worst part of all this. Make sure you have someone to baby you the first week!!! My husband was extremely supportive and honestly I've never felt so babied in my life by him. lol. The first few days were awful because you're going to be leaky and you body feels like it got beat up AND you're not allowed to shower until your follow up appointment (4-5 days). I am now 22 days POST-op and I love my results already! There are days where I can't see a difference and then there are days where I'm like "whoa!! I look GOOD". Overall, I'm really happy with Dr. Reichel's work and the responsiveness of her staff. There are a couple of things to consider if you're going to do this procedure though (with Dr. Reichel or not). 1)From the few surgeons I've talked to, I realized that plastic surgery is really an artistic expression. I like Dr. Reichel a lot because her idea of "natural" was exactly what I was looking for. I think partly it's also because Dr. Reichel is a female and I wanted to look good AND natural in the eyes of another woman. During our initial consultation, Dr. Reichel didn't even mention doing a butt lift, she said I would look good with just the Vaser alone. Not only that, but I have several moles on my face and when I unmasked, she honestly said that only ONE of them caught her eye and the rest were fine as they were. Oddly enough, Dr Reichel made me feel very pretty with that one comment because I realized that we (patients) nit pick at a lot of different things about our body or life because that's all we really know! My husband has never once complained about my body or moles and talking to Dr. Reichel kind of felt like I was talking to my husband again. lol. 2)I had a very different experience compared to my friend who had the actual BBL. During my operation, Dr Reichel, Vida, and a couple of other gals chatted with me and just treated me like a friend. My friend's operation was a bit more "professional" and quiet. I am NOT a picky person, so I would've been fine in either setting, but I definitely enjoyed my operation because of the light atmosphere.
I always wanted my brows to be lifted! I’ve had Botox treatment before and my brows ended up dropping. Dr. Reichel treated me and knew exactly where to inject for me to achieve the goal I wanted! I highly recommend her 10/10.
Pacific Dermatology: Dr. Reichel and her team, Sade & Vida are the BEST! I had my eyelids done after years of wanting to do it, but her photos on RealSelf convinced me that she is an expert - and she was! From start to finish I was prepared with all my meds, garment, and supplements to set me up for success. Highly recommended, I love my eyes!!! Everything from A to Z , was PERFECTION. My experience with Dr. Jen couldn’t have gone any better - her front desk was amazing, great office, she made me feel comfortable and has a real gift for what she does. I look and feel awesome (:
I have been to the Pacific Dermatology office in the Northgate area of Seattle on several occasions. I have had courteous and exemplary care on every occasion. Dr. Reichel has performed two virtually pain free Mohs surgeries for me as well as follow up care. I would recommend Dr. Reichel and the staff to anyone in need of dermatological care.
I am a 74 year old man and I went to see Dr. Jennifer Reichel to see if she could do something with a discolored spot on my nose. Her immediate diagnosis was cancer, which a biopsy confirmed. She removed a deeply invasive cancer in one sitting and did an excellent, artistic reconstuction in three more visits over several months. Through the whole process I felt thouroughly cared for and informed. I highly reccomend her.
The question is whether AgnesRF is a good choice for reduction of submental/chin/neck fat. There are many Radiofrequency needling devices currently on the market. Their purpose is to tighten and lift tissue. They are not all identical, but they do function in a similar manner. The device platform is put onto the skin, multiple needles come out of the tip, puncture through the skin, and then RF energy (heat) is released from the needle tips. The needles retract, the platform is moved and the process is repeated across the entire treatment area. The platform is square and roughly the diameter of a penny for most. Some of these devices (Morpheus 8) have the ability to insert the needles deeper - which will reach the fat. Personally, I do not reach for my RF needling device (I have two of them) as the front line option for submental fat reduction. I recommend that you see a doctor who has all the options for removing fat. That includes LIPOSUCTION, Kybella, Coolsculpting or Trusculpt, and RF needling devices. If you see a provider who only has one or two options - they may ONLY offer you those options. Liposuction remains the gold standard for fat reduction in the submental area. I like to combine liposuction with a tightening device like Ultherapy or RF microneedling. Facetite is also a great addition for someone who has excess fat and loose skin. If you decide against liposuction (for any reason), my next recommendation is Coolsculpting or Trusculpt (more effective than RF needling devices). After that, I recommend a series of RF needling or Kybella. It is almost guaranteed that you will need at least 3 or 4 treatments to reach a good endpoint because these devices are not as good at removing fat.
Hi. I love that you asked this question so that I can answer and hopefully have other patients read it and become less worried about their botox injections. Botox acts at the nerve/muscle junction. It binds to a receptor and stops the nerve from talking to the muscle. It is always temporary. The amount of time the botox protein is bound to the receptor varies from patient to patient but usually lasts 2 to 4 months. The needles that we use to inject Botox are very small. In order to cause true, permanent nerve damage, you have to CUT through the nerve. That is basically IMPOSSIBLE to do with an injection of Botox. I agree that the Botox diffused and is affecting one of your smile muscles. It is probably the risorius. Your smile should return to completely normal!!!!
Hi. In your photo, what I am seeing is a mild prominence of the festoon and mild/early fat pad protrusion. This can happen and some days it can look worse, and some days better. I liked the idea of trying Morpheus 8 for tightening the festoons. However, I have now done a full set of 3 treatments on 2 different patients with very little improvement. Other tightening devices to try - Ultherapy! It may be more successful!! I would try one other tightening device, and then I recommend filler. My favorite is Redensity with just a skoosh of Radiesse to remove the tyndall effect! At some point in the future, you will probably need a lower lid blepharoplasty to flatten the fat pads - but I would wait on that as you are very young. Best, Dr Reichel
I recommend that patients discontinue any blood thinning medication (aspirin, ibuprofen, naprosyn etc) for 7 to 14 days before a RF needling procedure like Morpheus 8. However, it should not be a big deal if you took a few ibuprofen. You may have a slightly increased risk of bleeding/bruising but not significant enough to hold off on treatment.
Hi. Thank you for your question. Morpheus 8 CAN be used for acne scarring. For this condition, it is done for RESURFACING, not really for lifting and tightening. You need to go to a physician that know what he/she is doing. If you have a non-physician doing your treatment (which is common), make sure that the person works DIRECTLY under a physician. Because you are right, if the device is not used correctly, you can get fat loss and/or grid marks. For acne scarring, I recommend "multi-modality" treatment. This meand combine treatments like Fraxel, Morpheus 8, micro-needling, CO2 laser and possibly subcision/filler!!
