Hello - I've spent the last few days reading many, many of your wonderful blogs and hoping to be able to be an active participant here. I've been wanting to have a BR for at least twenty-five years and investigated it about eighteen years ago but wasn't able to get the insurance and thought that I'd be stuck with "them" forever. However, a recent challenge has turned into a cloud with a... more
I had thought about a breast reduction off & on for a couple of years. I finally went through with it after being referred to Dr. Morgan by a friend. I was a 38DD and wanted to be reduced to a C. I had a breast reduction & lift, bilateral, upper & lower abs lipo. I am still healing but have most of my strength back. I definitely feel better& more confident in my clothes.
I had my breast reduction outpatient on April 22. I was a 36G the dropped 40 lbs and reduced to a 34 DDD but still experienced a dull constant ache in my upper back- between the shoulder blades and yeast infections under my left breast. Kaiser Permanente approved the breast reduction. I also had back lipo and lipo for the "wings" under the arm pits. I'm 49 yrs old 5'4" 145 lbs and healthy.... more
I have constant back pain and get sores from my bra straps. I have made an appointment with the surgeon and hope he can help me. I have Medicaid and they are supposed to pay for everything. My bra size is 38 GG and I still pop out of the tops. I can't exercise, I can't even play with my kids right now or take them to playgrounds.
Thanks to my doctor sending a referral I have an appointment... more
Since I was 9 years old, I always had larger breasts than others my age. It seemed overnight I went from no bra and bee stings to a full B cup in the 3rd grade. Being teased and ridiculed at such an early age caused me to shut down from everyone. It wasn't until I entered high school, and guys actually started liking me, that I had finally accepted my large size. By 9th grade, I was a 42F. I... more
I have been contemplating have a breast reduction for at least 10 years. The main reason why I haven’t really moved forward is mainly fear. However, my breast are now giving me so much discomfort. Last year I went for a consolation with one plastic surgeon and I really was not impressed. She does really good work, but there was so many extras involved that I kind of put the whole... more
Just approved with Aetna. I think about a 38 F right now. Goal size is full D.

I have been stalking your reviews for months and am amazed and what an informative, encouraging and supportive community we have here.
I'm not a great blogger, but I'll do my best in the coming weeks. Thank you in advance!
Was very insecure about my large, African breasts at the time. I had lost a lot of weight from a size 14, down to a size 4. I was wearing a 38DDD with purple bruises on my shoulders from the poor straps buckling when I wore my bras. I slept with a bra on due to the weight. I hated taking my bra off due to the actual aerial sizing of my nipple area. I was mortified of my breasts and did not... more
I have always had stretch marks on my breast since the age of 14, they grow so big and always hurt. So after two children and being a single parent who could not sleep on my breast due to very intense pain, not including the constant back pain. I went to Dr.Woods, and this is what I got left with below. When I came in to show him the results of his surgery and expressed I was embarrassed and... more
Goals I wish for, I would like my breast to be smaller but at the same time perkier (no beach ball) and a way upper position. I am a full 36D and as per my PS my breast are not dense. I am struggling with the decision implant yes or no a lot. My PS would go without and at them later but that is cost factor. I also haven't seen a breast reduction picture I liked. I hope to find someone here... more
This is my second time around. I had a breast reduction twelve years ago, went down to a D cup, after getting pregnant my breast grew back to a whopping 36h cup. So here I go again with severe back and neck pain and under breast rash. I am paying out of pocket because my insurance company did not approve my procedure. This is so worth it for me to get this done.

I never had issues with my back until after my pregnancy. My breast grew and didn't go back to "normal." After seeing chiropractor's the only real option I had to relieve my back pain was a breast reduction. I was a size "I" and now I am a "DD" or "DDD" depending on what bra I wear. All of my back pain is gone. I LOVE the way I look and would recomend Dr. Leake to ANYONE. I go without a bra... more
I had a breast reduction a little over two years ago. I was so excited to have the surgery but now I'm wishing I never had which is usually not the case with breast reduction patients!!! I had the Surgery in May of 2011. I did everything I was told as far as drinking plenty of water, not moving my arms or lifting anything and pretty much just being bed riddin for the first part of recovery...... more
I have had large sagging breasts for as long as I can remember. I had a consultation with Dr. Rudderman and his staff and was ready to sign up that day. The next step was convincing my husband. To say that he was not on board is putting it beyond mildly. One more visit with my husband and we both decided to make the appointment for the reduction/lift that day. From start to finish the... more
I have been large breasted since I was a preteen. I think I got boobs when I was in 5th grade! Yikes....the boys loved me! I always loved my girls even though they were large. They were a nice shape, still rather perky and pretty. After my son and lot's of yo-yo dieting they decided to go south. My neck, shoulders and back were in constant pain. I always had to buy larger tops to fit the... more
I went for my annual mammogram on August 7th and my physician's assistant asked if I had back or neck pain. I told her yes and she recommended that I contact a ps to discuss a possible breast reduction. She told me I had a lot of breast tissue and that the pain I was having in my back and neck could possibly be due to the weight of my breast. I explained to her that I also sweat and have... more
Hello everyone I'm getting very excited and yet very nervous for my upcoming surgery on September 12. Just a little bio about me. I'm 37 years old and currently wear a 44g cup. I currently suffer from chronic migraine headaches and on Naproxen medication. In addition to... more
Don't go to Dr. Musarra for your plastic surgeon. He tries to push you to do major procedures in his own operating room. Dr. didn't even wait to see my in recovery. I followed up with 4 emergency appts. after my surgery. Developed an infection from surgery, even though he said they weren't infected infected even though one was discharging blood, and the other was black, discharging mucus and... more
