I have had a complex about my nose for a long time. It started, I believe, my freshman year in high school. I remember switching from glasses to contacts and was made a joke by my classmates and the upper classmen. So from then on I decided to keep my glasses on my face to conceal my "snoz". About 3 months ago I had my laser eye surgery. Now I am seeing my nose more clearly and I still dislike... more
I always say go with your gut, and this has proven to be true when searching for the right doctor. I initially had a consultation with Dr. Anil Shah in Chicago, and to put it kindly he wasn't my favorite. After waiting an hour and a half, I finally walked out of the appointment and asked them to email me the information as I was out of time. That wasn't the basis for my decision however; I've... more
I had a very dominant nose with a large bump, a tip that pointed down, and when I would smile, it would hook down further and to the left. Now I have a beautiful nose that fits my face and doesn't hook when I change expressions. I look so natural and not "manufactured". Dr. Mameniskis is an experienced and fully certified surgeon, with a real aesthetic skill. I expected every successful... more
Hi, my story is not that different from the others, but I'm sharing it because it offers me a lot of help to be able to read how other people experienced their rhinoplasty. My nose has always bothered me, it literally prevents me from being happy. It feels, to me, as if wherever I go, whoever I meet, people always see my nose first. As if I can hear them thinking how big it is. I know this... more
I have seen dr Wiesman for occasional Botox for years.
I am in my forties. Since my teenage years I have had large, heavy, droopy breast 34 triple or double D.
It was giving me shoulder and neck pain and looked bad. I am only 5.3 109 lb.
I mentioned my concern and unhappiness to doctor Wiesman.. He agreed that my breasts were to large and heavy for me.
He was very nice and friendly in... more
I have always wanted rhinoplasty.
I inherited quite a dorsal hump, & a bit of a bulbous tip from my father. The surgery was painless, I had absolutely no bruising, some swelling, and even though I'm early in recovery; I'm already pleased with my results.
I can't wait to see what my nose will look like when my swelling goes down.
I kept such optimism throughout my recovery- I hoped... more
It was two days before my 21st birthday in March and I was hoping to be fabulous for it. However, I accidentally shattered my nose two days beforehand with an embarrassing incident I'm not even willing to admit to. Nevertheless, the bridge was broken and I was bruised and swollen for my big day.
I consulted Dr. Bushnick just two days afterwards and immediately got X-rays to confirm my... more
My experience has moved pretty quickly bc I'm having my procedure in 2 days. It was decided last week that I would have a cyst removed that we found during my MRI. Its huge this cyst. ...and the more I thought about getting it removed, I was like, welllllllll while you're there.....lol I asked about getting it a little more refined. I'm not super unhappy with my nose, but as i get older I hate... more
I am very unhappy with the rhinoplasty results. I didn't ask for much, there was something very small I didnt like about my nose that I wanted to improve. Unfortunately, it didnt turn out as what I hoped, asked for, and expected at all. I made it clear what I wanted to be done, but he made it worse. The looks of it worsened and I have become more upset and insecure. Honestly fully regret... more
Deviated septum & turbinates & tip correctionI had this procedure for breathing/sleep problems and cosmetic improvements. I felt my tip was droopy and wanted that improved. My recovery was easy- no bruising or discomfort to speak of. I left surgery with a small tape bandage on my nose and had to use saline spray for about 6 months to keep things moist. I had some tenderness in the... more
I've been thinking of getting a nose job for a VERY long time. I've always known I've had a more prominent nose and have wanted one since I was considerably younger (12ish).
I thought I would grow into it, and for a while I did. I hit 18 and was ok with my nose. But it didn't take long for it to pick up the pace again (I read somewhere the nose never stops growing). It got... more
I had surgery the end of May 2007. I had a bump on the bridge of my nose from breaking it in a horseback riding accident when I was 16. I am very unhappy with the results. Although the bump is now gone, my nostrils are completely uneven and the tip of my nose is crooked. My nose looks much worse than it did before the surgery. more
