Hardness After Smart Lipo, Is this Scar Tissue? Normally how long it last? Is there a possibility of hardness or scar tissue to stay permanent? if it does what causes this and possible treatment?

A: SmartLIpo and scar tissue

The lumpiness and hardness after smartlipo or other types of liposuction typically persists at least 6-8 weeks after the surgery then slowly goes away. In my experience, daily massage of the hard areas makes the biggest difference in getting rid of it sooner rather than later. Hope this helps.

How Much More Do You Usually Pay for a Twilight Sedation Instead of Local Anastasia During Smartlipo? Hi , im scheduled to get liposuction done on my knees calves and ankles in a week. my surgeon is a board certified plastic surgeon and the procedure is preformed in his office under an oral sedation +local anastasia. i have read a lot of reviews and a lot of people seem to feel uncomfortable i dont want to feel a lot of pain and i want the surgeon to be able to give me the best results. what is the best way to go? what is the price difference? can a twilight sedation be done in the office?

A: SmartLipo and anesthesia

SmartLipo can be done very comfortably for most areas under oral sedation or IV conscious sedation. The difference in cost should be minimal as long as you do not require the services of an anesthesiologist. The advantage of IV sedation is the onset of the drugs is much faster (minutes) compared to the time it takes for medication to be absorbed from the stomach.

Smart Lipo Doctors ~ How to Find Best One? I am about to pay for the procedure of smart lipo on my thighs. I am supposed to meet with the doctor again, i went for blood work. How do i know if this doctor is reputable? He spoke well about the proceedure and was very ressuring. He seemed very knowledgeable as well. Is there any research I can do on him to be absolutely sure though? Thank you so much!

Ask specifically what they are board certified in. Plastic surgery? Dermatology? Ask to see a LOT of before and after photos and make certain they are all patients of your doctor. Ask to speak with SEVERAL patients who had the same procedure done recently.
