Went in for Body Improvements, Ended Up with Mind, Body, and Soul Improvements

I went in for body shape improvements (abdominoplasty & Liposuction) & I ended up with mind, body, and soul improvements! What a bargain! In the last few years, I had procedures done with Dr. Bansal and his staff from Elite MD to improve the look of my body as I glide through my 50’s. I am a former weight loss surgery patient in need of medical assistance to get my body back to n...

Q: 8 months post Vaser lipo - Should I consider a revision or are there other options that can help target uneven abdomen? (photos)
Answered by Dr. BansalMay 11, 2023

A: Dear Blondene, I understand your frustration with the lumps, bumps, irregularities, and loose skin post liposuction. Half the work I do is correcting/enhancing cases such as yours. Although it is a risk everyone’s takes when not doing a tummy tuck, there is still room for improvement. Based on your photos, your lower abdomen, anterior waist, anterior flanks, and possibly anterior hips and pubic could benefit from vaser lipo and Renuvion (JPlasma) if you’re interested in that. I could take anywhere from 50-70% of the remaining fat and do body contouring to snatch your waist. I would need to see you in person to fully examine your skin and scar tissue, and discuss the level of skin retraction we could achieve with the use of the Vaser and Renuvion using my advanced techniques. You are currently over 12 months post now, so it’s an appropriate time to consider this revision. Majority of my patients can do this under local anesthesia. To set up a virtual consultation to discuss this further please call my office at: 925-838-4363. Good luck in your journey! Where ever you go, make sure you select a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who specializes in Revision Liposuction. Thanks, Vivek Bansal, MD.

Q: Laser lipo vs regular lipo with J-Plasma? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. BansalOctober 5, 2022

A: Hi Bee_2016, This is a great question. Many patients are faced with these same decisions due to previous work they had. Half the work I do is revision/enhancements for patients like yourself. If you are not wanting a tummy tuck, the next best option is Vaser liposuction. Even better if adding the Renuvion j plasma. (Yes you can have both.) You have a lot of scar tissue from the previous procedure that I can break up on your abdomen and do more body sculpting to your anterior waist and anterior flanks to complete the look. It’s important to know although it is possible to remove more fat and retract the skin there is still possibilities of getting lumps, bumps, irregularities. The goal would be to break that up and correct the areas bothering you. Where ever you go, most doctors will recommend a tummy tuck. Whatever you decide, make sure you find a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in revision liposuction. If you would like to discuss this further I recommend scheduling a complimentary consultation. Good luck with your transformation journey. - VBMD.

Q: How can I get a prescription for Accutane for my very oily skin?
Answered by Dr. Badreshia-BansalJanuary 11, 2019

A: I do not know if European Health Plans cover Isotretinoin treatment.  Not everyone with acne needs Isotretinoin.  You should schedule an appointment with a Board Certified Dermatologist and have an in-person evaluation to determine your best treatment options

Q: Burn after laser hair removal session (Soprano). Is it normal to have a burn like this? (photo)
Answered by Dr. Badreshia-BansalDecember 6, 2018

A: You should contact your Dermatologist and have an in-person evaluation of your burn.  There are a number of reasons why that might have occurred.  Be sure to be seen by a Board Certified Dermatologist.

Q: Will PRP help to return my hair to a normal looking state after laser hair removal?
Answered by Dr. Badreshia-BansalDecember 6, 2018

A: It would be best for you to have an in-person evaluation by your Dermatologist to determine best option moving forward but keep in mind not every office offers PRP. Be sure to be seen by a Board Certified Dermatologist.
