I would like to get some kind of facial treatment that doesnt require a lot of downtime to help address with issues such as skin laxity, and loss of volume, and even skin tone/pigment, dark spots, and redness/broken capillariescapillaries. Ideally, I could also treat my neck area, but thats not my primary focus. I got Dysport injections about a week ago that do seem to have significantly helped with certain parts of my face, but my frown lines still look pretty noticeable from certain angles and things.. I also got Voluma filler in my cheeks, a different one in my nasolabial, fold area, and Kysse in my lips about a week ago. I keep going back-and-forth about what the best option would be to address the various issues I have with my skin - and trying to stay with budget makes it even more complicated/difficult. My main concern with getting one of these treatments is the fact that you are not supposed to be in the sun for at least two weeks before and after the treatment. I dont plan on sunbathing or anything like that, but I will definitely be outside for at least 30 minutes a day.dayduring the day. Im wondering if that is OK if it is not summertime and Im wearing a strong SPF. Ive considered Halo as well, but I wouldnt have the downtime issue again.again.. I have a micro needling session scheduled in about a month and Im hoping that helps. Is there any guidance you could offer?
I've got some broken capillaries on my face (mostly my nose, shown in the picture) they are really aggravating! I've had some broken capillaries before but they have faded away on their own in the past, these ones seem more stubborn.ive heard that the only real treatment is lasers, but I have heard that red light therapy, and even at home IPLs work (supposedly).Id be open to getting professional lasers, especially if they can just spot laser my nose rather than my whole face, if that's a thing.
Hi there! I have stubborn pigmentation from prior sun damage/acne, melasma from pregnancy, and ruddiness/redness from rosacea. I have tried IPLs, clear and brilliant, VI peels at the dermatologist. I use retinol, hydroquinone/arbutin, vitamin C, and sunscreen religiously in my routine. What else would you recommend for someone like me? I'm willing to deal with some intense downtime if the results will actually be impactful. Thank you in advance!
I have an IPL scheduled for 10 days from now, next Wednesday. This Thursday through Sunday, I will be camping In southern Colorado. I have been camping all summer and am religious about sunscreen, and have not tanned at all. I will be wearing a hat and sunscreen (50 SPF, reapplied often) throughout the entire trip, but will spend a lot of time outside. Is it a bad idea to come back after the trip and do IPL three days later?
Hello, My names's yood a 26y male with white caucsian skin. I would like to know if there is a kind of permanent hair removal procedure like ( IPL or laser hair removal) that can eliminate skin hue by removing skin colour permanently ? If so, Does it happen to work via hair follicle destruction to reduce melanocytes amount or via another mechanism of action ...?
I have a nose that shows the inside of my nostrils easily (the tip hangs over a bit; I believe the technical term is a hanging columella), and people keep asking me if my nose is bleeding because I have tiny red veins on the inside of my nostrils. Is this something that can be addressed safely and not too painfully with IPL? If not, something else? Thanks!
Hi, i am skin type 3 and have had about 10 total IPLs with good results, and redness always subsided after 1 hour. I recently started seeing someone new who told me welts are normal but i never had them with the last practitioner. Should I be concerned? The welt is just below the tear trough area and looks similar to raised 1st degree burn. It burns still 24 hours later. Like i said, the practitioner said it is normal but I am seeking additional recommendations since I am in mild pain. Thanks!
I received IPL in November of 2023 on my back to treat dark spots from acne and KP. After my treatment, I felt like I was on fire and could not even put my bra back on. Its been 8 months and the laser burns still exist. It has faded some but still noticeable. Im avoiding the sun this summer so the laser marks do not get worst. Is there anything I can use or do to completely get the burns to disappear?
I am a 33 year old woman, and a few years ago I kicked the daily compulsion to pick at the subcutaneous filaments on my nose. I started when I was 8 years old. I would often pick to the point of making my nose very red, and swollen blotchy, and swollen. Now my nose has a constant red color, especially when cold or exercising. Only one tiny visible capillary; its mostly just an overall red color. Would IPL be the best treatment approach or something else?
