I used a Nood at home IPL device that claimed to be safe for hair removal including Brazilian. I used it weekly for a month, then noticed severe irritation on my labia. I went to urgent care and was given Bacitran ointment and doxycycline. Saw my gyno 3 days later. he told me my skin looked normal and to stop doxy. Its been 2 months and my skin still looks normal but feels like it is burning and irritated almost all the time. Could there be permanent damage even though no one can see it?
I had my last of six IPL sessions done on my bikini area. I havent has any problems whatsoever on the other sessions. For the last two, i was told not to shave so they could see how much hair i had left and they would shave me when i got there. The treatment that last session had a big burning sensation. It Was really red afterwards. The Next day i had small scabs And the rea was really red. They hace me cicalfate but i can't stand the itching and burning. What can i do tto stop the itching?!?
I had a session of ipl yesterday. I had ipl sessions before and they were always turned up fine. However with this last one, I notice that one darkened area (blueish color) that is in the shape of the ipl bar. The superficial skin is intact and it feel like normal skin. No pain or burning sensation. I have only one area and i treated my whole face. Is this area burned or bruised? I read that one can get bruised during ipl session. If this is burn, is it permanent?
I tried five IPL treatments (at two different centers) for the removal of age spots on my face. I had no results.... in fact, the spots are now much darker than when I started! What would be the best option for me to try next? The treatments were fairly aggressive, with redness, swelling and a burning sensation for about 3 days after each treatment.
I experienced extreme swelling, burning and blistering. It has been almost 6 days and my face is still oozing pink and orange fluid with blisters. I was told that I should be able to wear makeup the day following the treatment and worse case might have a little blister or two. I paid for 5 treatments, but I am fearful of doing this again.
hello,I have hair removal laser treatment on my body & during the session I can smell the burn of hairs & right after a session I have red bumps which dissapear after a few min.,the hair on the root leaving a black spot as it has been burnt and the treatment works. Yesterday I used a different salon for IPL on legs and althought I could feel the tingling disconfort during the session, there were none of the 3 symptoms as above that I have with the laser and I wondered if it was a bad sign?
I had an IPL treatment 24 hours ago at a spa that has an IPULSE IPL machine that does no more than 19joules. This is not my first treatment with an IPL and have been treated with up to 23joules in the past. However, this treatment was done and completed and now at 24hrs after the treatment the skin on both cheekbones and temples is still red and burning and i cannot understand why cause this is the first time! There is no change in medication neither creams or soap? will this go away?? :(
