I recently received Volbella for lip lines and experienced a vascular occlusion. It was discovered quickly, and my physician resolved the problem before there was tissue damage. The grey-blue color faded, and capillary refill was restored. However, it has been 3 weeks, and still have some inflamed-looking capillaries and other faint discoloration. My physician says we can do some IPL in 4-5 weeks to remove the redness, etc. Is it safe to have IPL 6-8 weeks after the occlusion? Should I wait?
I got my freckles removed once before. The dr used the same laser as tattoo removal it worked fine, the freckles were gone but I didn't like how it was healing (discolored/Asian skin) instead of dark spots, there were white spots. A year or two later my freckles are back. I was thinking an IPL but saw a lot of before& after photos that recovered badly. What other laser? Whats best? Is IPL best for freckle removal? Feedback is very much appreciated!
I have had my menaupose for a year now . I notice that my checks have some discolouration, I am not sure if it is Malasma or Rosacea or just spider face vein is there a safe way to have it removed ? Please note I was burn by a RF so I am a bit scared of hot device .
My pores are very large and are always clogged. I have bad discoloration on my chin and cheeks from acne scars. I'm 21 and have noticed since 16 that my skin just keeps getting worse and the pores on my cheeks have significantly enlarged. I've never gotten a professional treatment done and was considering IPL but was not sure if that's the correct route to go. I've tried many prescribed medication such as doxycycline pills, retinol cream, tretinoin cream and tretinoin gel.
I felt pain while she was doing the IPL but it wasn't unbearable so she kept doing it, right after the IPL she did RF i had some bruising right after she finished with the RF ,three days after i had blisters in some areas.I feel completely horrible, Im scared to death this is going to leave discoloration and scarring. I've been communicating with the person who did my treatment and she says its going to get better with time so basically just wait.I'd like a second opinion just to ease my mind.
After my 3rd treatment with IPL to correct sun spots, when the dark spots resolved after a week or so, my skin was clear!!! I was so happy! Then after a couple of weeks the spots started to come back...I just had my 4th treatment today. I was so discouraged to see the spots return. Will they eventually stay away or will I have this discoloration forever?
I went in yesterday for IPL to treat broken blood vessels. I was not prepared for the level of discoloration I'm seeing. Over the past 24 hours the darker parts have gotten darker and there is a small blister on my forehead. My skin feels sunburnt. Is this normal or is this a burn? Have I ruined my skin? I'll be contacting my provider on Monday morning. I'm reading some fantastic horror stories about IPL reactions so any help you can provide is appreciated.
I have had two prior Fraxel laser treatments on a scar on the top side of my forearm, with the goal of improving indentation and color. At the third session, IPL was also administered. It has been one week and I am still concerned about the discoloration and healing. The first picture is how the scar looked a few days prior to the treatment including IPL. The second is from today, 7 days after. Should I seek another physician at this point?
I have eaten Isotretenoin against acne and it has given a good effect. (5 months ago) Now I have red / pink marks left on my cheeks. I'd love to get them removed.. I am scandinavian with extremely pale & sensitive skin and therefore can not withstand chemical peel, etc. I have considered IPL, but I know that some pigments can get worse from IPL. Is it a suitable treatment for this kind of discolourasion or is it better to use e.g. A vitamin and let time heal?
