IPL for spider veins inside nostril?

Question

I have a nose that shows the inside of my nostrils easily (the tip hangs over a bit; I believe the technical term is a "hanging" columella), and people keep asking me if my nose is bleeding because I have tiny red veins on the inside of my nostrils. Is this something that can be addressed safely and not too painfully with IPL? If not, something else? Thanks!

Vbeam laser is an excellent modality for patients who have rosacea, blushing of the skin, facial and body telangiectasia, spider veins, redness, post surgical redness, and skin flushing. It is a safe procedure that can be used at varying depths to help treat micro blood vessels in the skin. We also use it in our office for facial skin inflammation, keloids, and hypertrophic scarring. It is an important part of scar therapy. Vbeam can be combined with chemical peels and other lasers, but experience with the treatment is essential. The Vbeam laser does not affect deeper tissue. The use of lots of the bells and whistles, supposedly "next big thing" light and energy-based devices, like IPL, is supported by a whole lot of marketing and advertising hype and social media buzz, but not a whole lot of hard science. So, you would be wise to exercise a whole lot of 'buyer beware" when evaluating these. 
Low intensity electrodessication for small capillaries ("broken blood vessels") has stood the test of decades of time for safety and efficacy for treating this problem. With the prior use of a lidocaine spray, the procedure takes only a couple of minutes at most to do both sides of the columella with little significant discomfort.
You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.
