I am 31 and was burned with second degree blisters by a physician going too aggressive on an IPL laser. My skin is orange peelish with large pores, hyperpigmented In large spots, thinner looking, and premature wrinkles. All the things I was trying to prevent, it seemed to age me 10 years. Is there any creams, treatments, procedures (scary thought to do it again)you would recommend to correct?Ive heard of a girl having to do tattoo makeup to cover her IPL hyperpigmentation. What are my options?
I have light skin. I had an Ipl to remove slight pigmentation and the provider proceeded to zap one area 4 or more times. I smelled burning flesh. The burn itself didnt heal over until three weeks and left me with a deep indented white scar. Provider claims IPL cannot burn you and that her using it 4+ times on exact same spot is normal. Is this the norm?
I had one round of ipl for some brown/red spots on my legs and it did absolutely nothing...this was at a laser spa center and not performed by a doctor...I don't even know if the person used the correct settings and/or correct laser for the type of marks on my legs..several of the marks are more reddish due to me using hydroquinone cream to get rid of brown marks scars that were left over from an eczema outbreak, the hydroquinone cream burned my skin, peeled off and left redness......
I would like a second opinion: My 3rd treatment, after numbing, was absolute torture. As soon as I was touched with the IPL wand, I could feel the burn and it got worse as the treatment progressed. By the time we got to the 1540 I was wincing and moving a bit from the pain and was scolded for doing so. Uncharacteristic of me, tears started to flow from my eyes. Please advise, as I'm really not sure what to do.
I felt pain while she was doing the IPL but it wasn't unbearable so she kept doing it, right after the IPL she did RF i had some bruising right after she finished with the RF ,three days after i had blisters in some areas.I feel completely horrible, Im scared to death this is going to leave discoloration and scarring. I've been communicating with the person who did my treatment and she says its going to get better with time so basically just wait.I'd like a second opinion just to ease my mind.
I had an ipl done on my chest 5 days ago and was burned very badly. Every day it looks significantly worse. Is this normal for it to look worse each day and not better? PLEASE WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP THIS BURN MARK HEAL?
I am devastated my Surgeon gave me an ipl treatment for stretch marks I developed after breast implants and he left a terrible burn mark on me. It burned so bad and welted up. He just brushed it off and said it will get better in time. It is very red and raised. I am so upset and worried it will leave a keloid scar. What can I do to help this?
IPL burns 13 days post hair removal. I recieved IPL hair removal 13 days ago and I got what the doc said was melanin clumping and minor first degree burns. This seems a little worse than that. I posted my initial burns and the photos here are what I look like now, almost two weeks later. Is there anything I can do about the dark and light patches? It's still peeling a little and I'm not sure if I should scrub or let it do it's thing. I'm using scar away silicone gel and triamcinolone acetonide cream 0.5%.
i got ipl on my face, chest, and shoulders this afternoon. Before I even finished dressing my shoulder had started turning gray ( the gal took a picture saying she had never seen that happen before) and my chest was red. I am in pain and my skin feels burned (except where it turned gray, there I have no pain) I was told to put ice and hydrocortisone on it and not to worry if I got a few blisters because itll heal. Im worried about the gray area, what does this mean? Will it heal?
