Hi i had IPL for some sun damage. They recommended 3 sessions . Since then i have noticed my face is sagging more and I have puffiness around my lower eyes . I have read that it can cause fat loss ? Could this be the cause? Is there anything i can be doing to restore my face?
I would like to know the general consensus in regards to IPL devices causing some or all of the aforementioned complications. If it can reach deep enough to stimulate collagen, can it also cause thermal damage to collagen and elastin and therefore cause dermal atrophy, etc?
Dear Doctors. I read a lot of comments here about how IPL or lasers ruined their faces, especially by fat loss. I did not find a single doctor opinion here that agreed with this. Please let me know what is your opinin about this?Do you suggest that all these people are hallucinating or maybe it is possible? Or maybe you believe it - if yes- don't you think you should do something about this?
I don't have fat loss at this moment but I am so worried because of all the posts I have read about this! I had one session 7 weeks ago and the second one 2 weeks ago. I will never do this again! So nervous!! My skin looks fine right now. I am thinking that I might have a scar on my nose because I see a faint line on it but I am not sure if it will go away. Can someone explain to me, is fat loss likely to happen to me?
I had one IPL treatment a couple days ago to treat undereye dark circles, procedure took 30 seconds. Now I am finding a bunch of reviews over the internet that say it can cause fat lose several weeks after treatment! Now Im worried because I already receive restylane injections under my eyes! Please answer!
I just got my first treatment of an IPL photofacial. So far my skin looks healthier and more even toned. I am 25 years old and for the most part my skin is pretty clear- I just wanted to have healthier and clearer skin and minimize some pores. After reading about this procedure I am terrified!!! Does it cause fat loss? Does it actually ruin the texture of some people's skin? I like the results but I don't think my skin is in bad enough shape to take on a procedure that has such risks!!
I was told by a plastic surgeon that there is a chance that my buccal fat pads and other facial padding can regenerate after 2 years if they were melted by the IPL laser treatments. Is this true? I have a gaunt, saggy, loose looking face with no symmetry, elasticity or shape. Is it possible for the buccal fat pads to regenerate or are they gone?
