I am getting botox in my forehead only. Is it okay to get ipl laser the next day ONLY under my eyes (not where botox was injected). The ipl is only to help stubborn bruises that are lingering 4 weeks after facial fat-grafting. Unfortunately, it's how my appointments are falling and I just want to make sure one won't affect the other.
Two months ago I began to notice my skin looking very dry & old, which has led me to stop using a new makeup I'd purchased at that time that had alcohol denatured as a main ingredient. I now use retinol 2.5%, but my skin is getting worse. My question is, could the makeup cause this, will using a CeraVE niacinamide moisturizer fix it, and would an IPL photofacial help create fuller cheeks or smoother dermal layer in the forehead if it's not the moisture or the makeup that are the problem?
I've had a small Cherry Angioma on my forehead for 5 years. I thought it was a pimple till i picked it! It's slightly raised, which I could live with if the color was gone! I went to a Derm a year ago and she first tried to cauterize it. It didn't do anything, not even scab. Ended up going in 4 times & tried radio frequency, IPL x 2, & it did nothing! So my question is, what WILL actually remove the color? Or remove it completely? I am 35, light skinned, blue eyes, blonde hair too.
I have had these dark spots on my chest, neck and forehead since I was younger. I believe they're birthmarks, but not entirely sure. They look similar to cafe-au-lait spots and are very splotchy. I also have something similar on my forehead but not sure if its related. Whenever I have extensive sun exposure, its usually the outer rims of my forehead that get darker. The spots on my forehead also have a weird leathery texture. Is there any way to remove this and to clear them?
Ive been dealing with cycstic acne and fungal acne for the last two years. Acne is finally under control but I have lots of pink/purple/brown spots left on my face. Mainly jaw and forehead. Would IPL be a good treatment option? Im hesitant to use creams because they all seem to trigger fungal acne.
I got an ipl done almost 4 weeks ago I got the marks from the machine that become darker then coffee ground and exfoliate them but in my forehead seem like they just became extra brown spots because they didn't go away. The aesthetician wants to do a peel but because of my work being outside a lot can't do it right now is there other way to lighten this. It looks worse than before. Thank you
My forehead was burned during IPL tratment 3 weeks ago. The hypopigmentation is not getting better. How long does it take to recover? Does it recover at all? Does it stay forever? I am so deprssed. I cry everyday. It is all over my forehead!
2 weeks ago I had my first IPL treatment. Im left with streak marks on my forehead and cheeks. I was initially told by the RN that I would need multiple sessions to lift the dark spots from pregnancy hormones. I feel that it is quite obvious that they missed numerous places on my face and did not give me an even treatment. They said this is normal and that is why they suggest multiple treatments, that with my next treatment they will go the opposite direction to capture the remaining dark areas
I'm a 27 year old female who takes good care of my skin, but am experiencing some dark spots and hyperpigmentation around my T-Zone area, especially my forehead. Sometimes these areas can be extra dry and flaky during winter, but also have large visible and dark blackheads. Also my skin has such a dull and lifeless complexion lately. Would a set of IPL treatments be most beneficial for me to combat these problems? Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thanks! Hollie
