I have light olive Asian skin and just got my IPL treatment 1.5 days ago. No serious reactions yet, just slight flaking. My brown spots and freckles are lightening. However, I also have some acne and since i'm off the medicine during recovery, I picked at several pustules yesterday. Today, those areas are red and will scab. My question: Given I just had IPL and then picked/hurt my skin, does that put me at greater hyperpigmentation risk? If not, do u foresee any other serious consequences?
I am 38 years old Asian. I got IPL on 12/8/16. After the treatment, I had scabs all over my face, and my face even got swollen. From day 4, scabs flaked off, and I got a beautiful skin for a week. However, my pigments got back after 2 weeks from the treatment, and they seemed to become even darker. I even see pigments that I did not see before the treatment. After 4w, I started having red breakouts on my cheek. I usually have clear skin and barely had this awful skin. Is this the side-effect?
Hello,I was badly burned from IPL on both sides of my nose. They blistered then scabbed. The provider told me to use cortison but I just can't trust the person who burned me. How can I prevent scarring or is it inevitable? How can I minimize scarring? Would fresh aloe vera help? Manuka honey? Any creams? I know to leave the scabs on for as long as possible but should I be putting something topical on them now? Once scabs fall off should I apply Mederma or other scar cream/gel? Thank you!
It scabbed up (not enough to scar) the first time through the week and the scabbed parts fell off and there was less ink on the tattoo in those parts. I was wondering is this actually going to work? Can I harm myself or skin in any way doing this? Could I get cancer or some medical issues? What should I do?
