I have four front porcelain dental crowns. I want to use IPL on my upper lip, but remember it making my nerves/teeth feel sensitive last time I tried. Is it safe to treat upper lip with IPL whilst having dental crowns and if it is safe, how can I reduce the sensitive feeling?
Hello, I had BBL over my entire face almost 4 months ago. The dermatologist went up to my lower lash line, sideways over the inner lid and on the outside of my eyelid. I had no eyeware on. There was a lot of damage to my face and I started seeing black floaters, my vision was blurry when I tried to focus and light hurt my eyes. It became so painful I went to an eye dr who gave me steroid drops/ointment, neurontin and agreed my iris is much darker, like black marker. It keeps getting worse.
I am not asking about the immediate post period of 4-6 weeks when you are not allowed to tan but more the long term ability. As of now I am not able to tan my face because I have so much redness there (probably small capillaries due to old sun damage). I am super sensitive and react with alot more redness when exposed to sun. If I am able to get rid of the redness with multiple IPL treatments will I be able to tan later on? Risk my melanocytes be damaged?
I read hydrocortisone thins skin especially in folds like the groin, but my derma disagreed and hed prescribed two months 2x a day with refills.Ive used 2x a day for two weeks, some discomfort decreased and i dont know when to wean off but im worried the sensitivity may never heal fully without it?or does it only speed it up? When do i stop?only once no sensitivity at all?Any natural ways for nerve irritation under skin and labia healing(no visible problems, was bit red before)like calendula oil?
I'm 23 years old and I have been doing some microdermabrasion recently and has found that it makes my skin thinner and more sensitive to the sun. I wear sunscreen on a daily basis but I want a treatment that strengthens my skin in the longer term and not make it only smooth and nice in the short term. Does IPL or photofacial help to treat sun spots and veins while at the same time strengthening the skin by creating a new layer of skin? If not, which other treatments are worth investigating?
I had an IPL about a month ago. I am suffering of post inflammatory hyperpigmintation (PIH) all over my face. But even worst I have read reviews that sensitivity to the sun becomes permanent is this true? How is PIH from IPL different from a tan from sunburn in the long run? Does it damage the skin permanently? Thank you for answering my concerns.
I had IPL about 4 weeks ago. My olive asian skin reacted a lot to the treatment. All the dark spots seem to have flaked off, however, the area around my jawline feel tight and sensitive. Is this normal or should I be normal? How long will it take for this sensation to go away? I've been applying vaseline and avoiding sunlight as much as possible.
