A: What does your plastic surgeon tell you about your facelift and browlift results?

Dear Cleocran,

I concur that you should be getting an answer from your plastic surgeon about this.  Assuming that you did your homework and had surgery with a board certified plastic surgeon, I know that you will get the best answers to your questions.

Hopefully things will improve with time....

Best of luck.  I would love to hear about your progress, so keep us posted! :)

What Are Non Surgical Alternatives To A Brow Lift?

I got some great answers, thanks to all of the doctors that responded!I did some research and do not think I am ready to go through with a brow lift. I do feel I am a little young and should try other options first. The problem is that I had tried botox about a year ago and didn't get very noticeable results. Could this be that the doctor just didn't do a great job? I would be willing to try botox again, if I know that I have a good chance of lifting the lateral brow portions.

A: Botox brow lift

Botox can definitely raise the brow!

I think if you specifically ask for the chemical brow lift, your doctor should be able to treat the proper area and elevate the brow.

Dr. Cobey Steiger is the your area and definitely would be able to evaluate you for the Botox brow lift.

Brow Lift Surgery and receding hairlines?

Is there a technique used for men with receding hairlines so that scaring is minimal? How visible are the scars?

A: Brow lifts in men with receding hairlines can be done. Depending on the degree of sagging of the eyebrows, a variety of techniques to lift sagging eyebrows in men can be utilized. As you are implying, the problem with lifting the eyebrows in men whonhave receding hairlines is that the hairline can be moved further back towards the top of the head, and the incisions can be more obvious. To address these difficulties, we can use an eyelid incisions to lift the brows (a really neat technique that I love), or a more delicate incision near the hairline. Lastly despite the bad rep and worry about the scar, the incision across the top of the scalp still has some value in treating these types of problems and can be well-hidden, even in bald men! As always, the best way to determine the plan for your particular situation is to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon. surgery.org is an excellent source for plastic surgeons in your area.
