Operation on the 20th and PS Did Not Discuss "Cc" Size with Me, Is This Normal?

I just went in for my pre-op this week and am very excited for my operation. I am 25 yrs old 118 lbs 5'1" no kids. I am currently 32a and want a small c-cup silicone implant. the PS did not discuss "cc" size with me and said he goes by the photo I give him (of what I like from other before and after photos). should I be worried? there are sooo my types of silicone (moderate/high profile) out there and will have no idea of what he will be putting in there. is is normal?

A: Pre-Op Breast Consultation

Yes, before your surgery, you surgeon should discuss with you the cc size and profile of the implants that they will use.  I also discuss with my patients a range of implant sizes just in case in the operating room the one they choose does not look right.  Therefore, I have on hand one size above and one size below our target range in order to maximize their results.  Also, using the VECTRA 3D breast analysis prior to surgery will held you visualize potential results.

Good Luck

Considering Breast Augmentation. Will 400cc Implants Get Me My Desired Look and a D Cup? (photo)

i am considering a breast augmentation, i am 5,6 i weigh 110 pounds and i want to go to a d, i was considering 400cc high profile implants or maybe even more, how many cc will i need to achieve this

A: Choosing Breast Implants

When choosing implants there are many factors to consider, including your breast width, your tissue thickness and your body frame.  So, a 400 cc implant will make a big difference in a small person and a little difference in a big person.  The best option would be to have an in person consultation so your measurements can be taken.  In our office, we also include VECTRA 3D breast analysis as part of the consultation.  With the VECTRA machine you are able to visualize your simulated results in 3D on the computer screen for different size implants.

Good Luck.

20 Days Post Op. Is It Too Early to Start Massaging my Scars? And When Will Swelling Decrease to be the Final Result? (photo)

I have 3 questions! I'm 20 days post Op (Breast Reduction), I was wondering if it is too early to start massaging my scars with creams? My second question is how long would it take for the swelling to go down? And my third question is if there's any chance for my breast to further reduce in size? Sorry for too many questions! Many Thanks in advance

A: Recovery from Breast Augmentation

Yes, it may take several weeks for the swelling to go down and the tissues to settle.  I suggest to may patients to start gentle massage the day after surgery.  However, you should consult with your surgeon and follow their directions.

Good Luck.
